Maybe. They were smart enough to put investigate in there.

Plus, we'd have to do this whole song and dance all over again next year, in hopes of getting the 2014 sub off the ground.

I'm guessing we will anyway. I mean, from here on out, the DCU 6" line will be subscription based, no?

Man, we couldn't even get off the first page before somebody started complaining!

I'm kinda shocked, actually. They probably did cook the books a bit, but the end result is DCUC lives for another year!

I'm very happy. And now that I took the plunge on the MOTUC line, dealing with Matty is practically automatic now!

Great, great news all around.

What's with the extra Saint Walkers and Larflee....Larfl....Larfleezi? Are they really extras or do people not like the characters?

I might be interested in taking them off someone's hands.

Well, I bought two subs, so I have extras in that respect. As for whether I'll keep the ones I get in my own personal sub is another story.

Big congrats to the DCU Club fans! Glad to see that Mattycollector.com is not just Masterscollectors.com. LOL

Does anyone think Mattel had the DC Infinite Earths numbers for some time and just used the meter to manipulate the desperate fanboys into buying more subscriptions?

Seems awfully fishy that the meter jumped 40% in one day.

Incredibly fishy and I do think that's exactly what they did. Unless one of the online retail sites like BBTS placed a huge last minute order which i guess is a possibility.

The scent of tuna is definitely there. Even more so if you see that MoTU increased like 42% last night. Either way though, I'm glad you guys are getting your subs. More plastic goodness for everyone is a good thing. :)

For me it is a little different. I don't care for the figures. I have no ties to them since I haven't read the GL storylines they appeared in. So I'll send them off to a good home.

For me, it's just that the DC Direct figures of the Rainbow Lanterns are so nice-looking and massive.

Club Atrocitus looks fine and I'm sure Larfleeze will too, I'm just not sure the extra articulation is worth trading for those imposing statures.

Late last night, I changed my mind and ordered a DC subscription, just in case it was going through. The 2013 sub figures shown so far do not impress me much. I sure hope that the remaining slots have plenty of female figures.

I want a Fire and Ice (2-pack) as one of the quarterly oversized packages.

NO, in 2013 we will have DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited 6" figures at retail.

DC Unlimited (wave 1)
Superman
Flash
Hawkman

Batman Unlimited (wave 1)
Batman
Batgirl
Penguin

Wow, this is really good news. I have to admit, I had my doubts that the subscription would garner enough interest among fans. The thermometer seemed like a silly marketing ploy, so I never gave it much credence, but I did peek at it a couple of times.

I'm really happy the number of subscribers surpassed the needed amount. I hope Mattel can build on the momentum in the coming year.

Aside from MOTU, the DC Universe figures make up a large source of business for the Four Horsemen, so I'm really glad they can keep the lights on the studio. They are really nice, down-to-earth guys.

There sure are a lot of conspiracy theorists in our little club here aren't there.

Not saying I haven't joined in on occasion, especially at Matty's expense, but can't we just be glad the sub went through without all the conspiracy as to how or why?
