Parallax definitely does not photograph well. It looks better in person. At least he looks better in this form than the way he appeared in the film.

Why is he cast in different plastics? Is the clear not strong enough for the main structure of the body or something?

He's cast in three yellow plastics...
1) the bendy arms, the ones which come with the first few figures is a semi-clear yellow 2) the main torso, head and lower torso which comes with Moro and the arm shoulder with Sinestro is a yellow hard plastic. 3) the remaining 4 appendages which act as legs and one arm are a translucent yellow which is hard and also jointed so they can be positioned.

I agree, Parallax is a terrible figure!
What line/size figure do I have to buy to get a bat signal?

What line/size figure do I have to buy to get a bat signal? It's the Movie Masters line from the new Batman movie. Good luck. I've never seen Alfred on the pegs, ever, but then I live in Pennsyltucky.

I was able to find Alfreds quite frequently at Kmart actually. I've never seen him at Target, Walmart, or TRU though.
And... I still haven't seen any store restock since the first offerings as they all have Batman and Bane galore in stock.
By they time I see a Catwoman, Blake, or Ra's at retail they'll have already rebooted the franchise.
I've been watching eBay for a good deal on a complete Batsignal, but so far they are still a bit more than I want to pay. Its unfortunate, but not a piece that I can't live without, so patience really is my best friend now.

I'm 10/12 on the HOJ, but the other two I'm very glad I've passed on those lines altogether. Collecting like this isn't fun. That's why I disliked the Build-a-stuff so much. It took me a long time to get all of the Mattel WWE build-a-parts, and they were just 4 pieces each! I've only seen one Mark Henry with the build-a-stage once - and yet John Cena with build-a-stage is flooding the pegs. Mattel ain't doing us right.

And I've went at these C+C's aggressively! If I just went at this as a casual toy buyer, I'd be 5/12 with Parallax and probably 3/6 with the bat signal right now. I just realized today that the bat signal base that came with Catwoman came with a little switch on a stick thingy. I must have totally missed that when I ripped open the Catwoman package and threw it away. So no matter what I do now, my bat signal will never be a 100%

If the hall of justice was more than just a wall i would have tried for that and dumped the figures.

Someone mentioned DCUC and where as I don't have all 20 (22 counting Green Lantern Classics or 23 counting them and Public Enemies) C-N-Cs like most people I do have a nice amount I feel... Out of all that this is all that truly interested me... Perhaps one day I'll find a Despero for myself.

Your collection is almost the opposite of mine. I only wanted:
Brimstone Chemo The Ultra Humanite Trigon Giganta Apache Chief Atom Smasher Elasti-Girl
I plan to snag Colossal Boy and the Anti-Monitor at some point soon.

Oh I forgot about Ultra-Humanite! I would like one of those too... and eventually an Apache Chief to finish out my Super Friends...

I wouldn't mind a Brimestone but that's insane right now
