How do you feel the last couple of months after reveals, and the pictures we have seen from NYCC? Happy you didn't subscribe? Wishing you had now?

I'll be honest...It's only solidified my decision to not purchase for next year.

I almost signed up this year, but at the last minute my friend and I opted not to do it. Frankly, I have never liked the signing up for something without at least knowing what characters would be included. After the reveals at NYCC, I'm very glad I didn't do the sub. There are too many characters that I have zero interest in paying a premium price. Add the high shipping at Matty and the no sale is even stronger.

I'm glad the sub went through for those that are ok with getting everything. I just can't do that anymore.

I loved it this year... still won't sign up... but I liked a good amount of what was shown already. I made an exception with Castle Grayskull and probably will again for other items... Hell... if my Grayskull experience goes off without a hitch I may be inclined to sign up for a DCIE or MOTUC sub when they are next issued.

I don't have buyer's remorse about 2013, but I'm not exactly overjoyed, either.

I was really hoping for more females and villains.

But if Mera sneaks in there at the end, all will be forgiven.

So far, Red Hood is the biggest turd in the sub punchbowl, although Phantom Stranger's stinkin' up the drink almost as much.

The rest of the offerings range from solid (CM3) to about damn time (Flash, Ralph, Huntress).

Pretty much my sentiment on the situation in bold, but I am looking forward to Phantom Stranger. Like some, I will just put Red Hood on my trade list or see about having a customizer make a Mr. Toxic for me. Not happy about this at all. A wasted slot that could have been used for someone else. If I were one of the folks who didn't sign up I'd be letting out a sigh of relief.

Even though Red Hood has left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth, still happy about the line up. Hopefully the year's remaining figures are knockouts. Still plan on subbing for 2014 if one is made (the line CAN NOT end until we get a bearded Aquaman)

I knew going in (as I did last year) that there would be figures I wouldn't like. I'm okay with that. There's plenty of people willing to buy the figures I don't want from the sub. Especially since I get rid of them at (or most often below) cost.

I bought a boxed Mirror Master for 18.00 on eBay AFTER shipping... there had to be a loss there.

That's the thing with me. There's never 'a loss'. I have all my subscription figures, as well as everything I buy at retail and via trade, budgeted every month. Once it's spent, that money no longer exists. There's no need to recoup anything. Whatever I get for a figure I sell is gravy. I guess this type of mindset only exists in people who don't sell/trade for profit...

Obviously a lot of you can't read ;)

Just kidding. Good input gang.

I was just curious to see who felt like me, who might be disappointe now that they didn't buy, etc.

As a 30+ year comic reader and major fanboy of both Marvel and DC, I'm very happy that I subscribed (an answer you didn't supply). I feel a lot better about it now that I didn't have to go through the Poison Ivy debacle online.

All of these reveals are a must for me (except the NU52) and will gladly pledge my money again next year.

I didn't sign up, and I'm very happy with that decision. Here's why, in order of importance:

1) Not enough characters that I liked

2) Too many Mattel DC 6"figures to collect (and not enough room to display them)

3) Overall lack of quality for what they cost

4) Purchasing something on "blind faith" is not my cup of tea

5) for the most part, they seem to actually be depreciating in value as collectibles (check Ebay)

I have limited space to keep my collection, so I made a decision to collect only the highest quality figures that I love the most. I figured why spend hundreds of dollars collecting the scores of DCUC and other Mattel DC figures, when I can actually spend less and get a much higher quality Hot Toys, Medicom or Square Enix figure every couple of months.

I'm still going to buy the random Batman Legacy figure here and there. The Dark Knight Returns Bats looks great. After JLU, I'm done being a completist.

I agree with everything but number 5... while that seems to be the case now, remember these just came out... the market is saturated with them but like anything else... when they think down prices will go up and there's always a new collector every day so there are bound to be some that will fetch higher prices. Nothing to break your bank but I'm sure close to doubling what you spent.

Depreciating in value doesn't even register to me.

Toys are playthings. They provide fun and entertainment. They aren't (and shouldn't be) investments. I couldn't care less about whether or not a toy I buy actually gains, loses, or draws with regards to the value it has in the marketplace.

I'm willing to wager most openers share this mindset.
