That'll be Mattel's excuse, much like it was with the choice of design for The Red Hood.

I think the first pic (of Superfly's) is a little too much expectation for an $18 toy. That thing almost looks like a statue.

Did they show that at a convention like that? If so that is pretty impressive and I guess disappointing if it didn't turn out like that.

Just got him today. Overall pleased with the figure. My only criticism of it is that the chain links should have been smaller for the medallion and cape clasps.

It seems like the belly protrudes out. When I first saw it in the box, I thought, "huh, he looks fat or something."

I got mine this week and like him more than I thought I would. However, I CAN'T WAIT for Elongated Man next month...

I finally opened mine today. He's better than some of the earlier pics made him out to be. From most angles the shading on his face has the effect they were going for. Stick him in a shaded corner (where PS would normally be in the comics, anyway) and he looks pretty good.

And this a character I really don't care about either way.

He's alright. I'm not blown away by him, but he wasn't a figure I was looking forward to whatsoever. He's definitely the low point of the sub for me this year - even worse than Red Hood.

Red Hood's pretty bad. He's my low point this year.
