Also, are the Joker and Surf Batman not part of the first case assortment shipping now, or am I just missing them? Both TRUs here in town got these within the last day or two and there's a plentiful amount of Batman, Riddler, and Penguin on the pegs, but no Joker or Surf Batman. With the amount of figures on the peg, it seemed like a freshly opened case that nobody had touched before me, and yet I couldn't find any Jokers. I can understand Joker being nabbed fast by collectors or scalpers (especially if he's shortpacked), but no Surf Batman on the pegs either?! I guess I can hope for them to ship in the later case assortment Catwoman is coming in. :(

As for the single-packed Batman, upon close inspection of him side by side with the Batman/Robin 2-pack on the shelf, he appeared identical to the 2-pack version. For those who have opened both, can you confirm that's the case? I left him on the peg and just bought Riddler and Penguin since I already have the Batman/Robin 2-pack, but if there's some slight variance I'm unaware of, I'll go back and get him.

Joker, Catwoman, and Surfs up Batman are in wave two this fall.

As previously stated, the two pack Batman is different from the single carded figure in that it has thick wires (and an unsightly tag) running through the cape; the single carded does not.

Is the Batmobile and Batcycle part of this line? Or just the Batmobile?

Your Batcycle pics put mine to shame, carthut :-)

I really wish Robin had double knee joints so he could properly ride in the side car.

According to Scott, all the figures for this line is what we are getting and thats it. Frankly I would love a Batgirl and her cycle but I don't need figures for any of the other characters. Sure they would be nice but I am not pressed for them.

I think this line got doomed because of likeness rights-- which I figured would happened and asked about when they first announced this line-that would the expense make this line be a very short lived one.

I am disappointed we arent going to get any other viliians-- but at least Mattel went away from their norm and released all the heavy hitters first..

I saw the first wave of these at a local Wal-Mart today and the Batman and Robin two pack at TRU. I don't think these are my thing, but I'm happy for those that want them and are finally getting them. I do want that batmobile though. I just haven't found it yet.

I've only seen the Barbie Batman and Catwoman in the Barbie section of my local Target. Haven't seen anything in Wal Mart yet, but most are taking their sweet ass time to reset. That's on the co-manager in charge of the department managers fault. I remember my frustration in the job I had before my son was born. We'd have a deadline for something to be on the shelf and the dm's were milking their work on overnights. Looking forward to seeing these. Any idea what the Batmobile is going to retail for or was that a con exclusive?

I got mine for $50 shipped on target.com. It's awesome.

Now that it's for sure confirmed that this is all the figures we're getting, I definitely won't be buying any. What good is this group with no Batgirl?

Agreed. I was thinking maybe Batman, Robin, Batmobile, and Batgirl with the cycle. No Batgirl (my favorite of the three for . . . obvious reasons  ) means no sales.

More money for SH Monsterarts, I guess. :)

That's really all I wanted as well. If they had given me that I probably would have bought the villains too but now they get no money.

After reading this ... "Q2. Are there future waves of 1966 Batman figures planned beyond what has already been announced?

A2. No, at this point you have seen all the 1966 figs including the awesome Batmobile." ... I will pass

I am now EXTRA hopeful that Figures Toy Company's Batman tv retro line turns out!

After the news, I am hoping that Funko Pop will make other characters in their vinyl line.
Little bodies with big heads I feel would go great with characters like Bookworm, Shame, King Tut, and Egghead.
