Personally, I'd be okay with a non-likeness featuring the movie/show-style costumes only.

This is what they did with the Dana Barrett figure in their Ghostbusters line since Sigourney Weaver didn't release her likeness rights, so it should have been done with Batgirl too. Mattel surely knows that fans of this line would have expected and wanted Batgirl to complete the main set of characters. Now we may never get one in that purple/yellow costume. :(

I didn't know Weaver didn't sign off on her likeness...wow. If that is the case then we definitely should of gotten a Batgirl. At the very least they could of taken her to Mattycollector if they felt she would pegwarmed. With that information I am a little sad we aren't getting one, but who knows guys, maybe if these sell at retail then that could open up for her. I doubt the other characters will be represented and I am fine with that, but a Batgirl + her motorcycle would be nice.

I have to give Mattel top notch credit for this line, I think it is brilliant. I would like to see a DC TV Allstar waves:

Wave 1
George Reeve as Superman
Linda Carter as Wonder Woman
That chick who played Wonder Girl

Wave 2
Whichever guy who played Shazam
Gerald Christopher as Superboy
Nameless Bizarro
John Shipp as The Flash

Now that would be heaven....or close to it..LOL

Does anyone here know who did the art for the packaging on these figures?

They need to do 4 quarterly 2-packs on Matty next year:

Alfred and Aunt Harriet (With Red Phone under glass and Shakespeare Bust) in Library packaging.

Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara (With Red Phone and Clue) in City Hall packaging.

Batgirl vs. Egghead (With glass egg and pedestal) in Museum packaging.

I would buy all of these in a heartbeat

The Joker is hitting now. From the looks of the fig on ebay, he is a completely new sculpt. Amazon is reporting that he will ship in early September for all those who pre-ordered.

Say what you will about Mattel but they knocked these out of the ballpark. I don't care about any other versions, these are the best.

It really is a no lose situation for us bat fans. If the line sells we get more figures, if it doesn't big lots will have them cheap. :D

Fans of movie masters? Are they the ones who won't buy the kajillion (approximate number) MM figures that TRU ends up selling in a BOGT (buy one get ten) sale after every movie? For once, I actually agree with Stew...can't stand movie figures.

I like the Movie Masters figures as much if not more than DCUC and this new 1966 Batman rocks. I would have done Batman hanging from the ladder with a shark on his leg before I did Surfer Batman. It's sad this is all we get, they had at least a couple more waves of figures they could of done and a Batboat too. I have all the figures out so far just waiting on the Batmobile.

Wouldn't be shocked if Batgirl w/ Batcycle is an SDCC 2014 exclusive.

I can assure you, j1h15233, that I'm a big fan of Movie Masters, and I've spent hundreds of $ with my MM collection. Just to be fair, DCUC figures never collected dust at the pegs? Or MOTUC? Take a look at NECA and see how they sell their movie figures sell. There are lots of movie figure collectors out there
