Matty: "We tried offering some unreleased figures from Young Justice as a preorder on Mattelcollector.com and did not get enough preorders to go into production." What the heck does this have to do with offering unreleased BatB figures in the Justice League retail line?!??!?

I mean the weak YJ 2 pack that was over priced and came with like nothing ? I mean for real they are going to throw that in our face forever ? Show only ran 2 seasons

Yeah, as long as the characters are Justice League centric, and well known, they could end up here. Betting if this continues we will see multiple versions of Supes and Bats as they expand the ranks to include the big name Supes and Bats villains.
Shazam fits this very well.

I disagree except for Shazam and Joker. Manta, Beetle and Atom are not well known enough. Firestorm maybe if someone on the team is a SuperFriends fan.

The 52 nightwing could be a possibility because he's well known and all he is now Batman body with a new head.

Anyone able to get the green JLU Metamorpho weapon onto the single packed Hals hand? I tried a few different ways with no luck so now my JLU Guy Gardener has a new green construct. win win I guess.

I saw a dad with his kid checking out the 7-pack today at Target. He was like "Who is that guy, Warlord? Oh, it says Cyborg, never heard of him. They must have changed it from when I was a kid."
Of course, Warlord was never a black half-man half-robot, either.

Bought the Batcycle today. Found my target had about 2 cases of these figures. I saw 2 Lex Luthor(s) today. So he is out there.
And based on Mattel's q&a, I would put bets on seeing in possible future waves...
Captain Marvel (Shazam) Riddler Joker Bruce to Batman repaint - new 52 in metallic colors

I found the 7 pack a couple weeks ago (Richmond, VA) but haven't been back to look for Luthor yet. I can't wait to get that figure! I loved the B:B+B show and collected the figures. My figs are all boxed up at the moment, but I dug them out so that I could take a pic. Here is a comparison of the new figs w/ the old: I believe that is all of the figures made (not counting the many variants) except for Rubberneck. I have him as well but couldn't dig out the box that he's in at the moment. There was a decent amount of figs made for this line and I could definitely see a few of them getting converted into the new JL line. I hope the unproduced figures do pop up at some point. Rick

I found Mattel's response somewhat dismissive and condescending, too, but whatever. As an extension of the B:B&B line, I've already gotten several new characters for a line I thought was over and done. If it ends tomorrow, I'm still coming out ahead. In other words, I'll take what I can get.
I am intrigued by the possibilities, though. They've basically created a blank buck for this line now, so it's possible for them to go JLU and start cranking things out with headsculpts and new paint jobs.
I think it's less likely that we'll see Joker, because he's not based on that buck. Same with others like Kanjar Ro, Blue Beetle, or Despero. But I could see them releasing Black Manta, Riddler, Plastic Man, and possibly Atom, based on kid recognition. Firestorm might work, but again, recognition is going to be an issue for other characters.
I like the idea of a GL/Nightwing repaint, or possibly even turning him into Robin. I need to grab a couple of spares so I can do it myself if Mattel doesn't get to it.
