I'll likely be doing monthly since I don't think I'll be subbing for MOTUC in 2014.

But I also don't think they're going to even come close to the minimum for the DC sub, so I probably don't have to worry about any of it.

If the DC sub doesn't go through, I'll re-up for MOTUC. It's just becoming harder and harder to justify it all.

Though I think we may be in for a surprise come SDCC, re: retail...

I've liked 90% of the figures received in the sub before. I have no problem subscribing blindly and have never had issues receiving figures. As for the 10%, they may not be the top characters on my want list but they are still beautifully sculpted by the Horsemen and look good on my shelf with the other figures.

That's the way I look at it. Where else are people going to be able to get 4H style DC figures? The Unlimited lines have proven to be very Limited, both in distribution and duration. Of course I would like heavily sculpted figures like Granny or Doomsday, but I've enjoyed most of what I've gotten this year (Constantine excepted, but I managed to sell him off).

Now, MOTUC is another story. I really wanted Ram-man, but I've been "meh" about more than a few of the others (especially the Fighting Foe Men). I'll have to think long and hard about re-upping that particular sub.

I'll be re-upping for the DC sub. There's still quite a few characters out there that I want to see made. I think I'm done with MOTUC though. There's literally no one left in that line that I'd be even remotely excited about.

They show me a Doomsday and 4+ figures I want, then I'll re-up.

But since it's basically a 0% chance I'll get that Doomsday I've been wanting for years, it looks like this will be the 2nd year in a row I pass on the sub.

The sad thing is, I bet that Doomsday has been at some stage of production for a LONG time now. He was an ongoing rumor as a C&C for the last 2-3 years of DCUC, so it wouldn't surprise me if the 4H already sculpted him and Mattel has just been sitting on it forever, unwilling to follow through with the tooling and production of it due to costs and their misguided belief that he wouldn't sell.

I agree with your statement though. If he's the sub incentive figure this year, I'll sign up without hesitation and assume that at least half of the figures in the sub will be ones I want.

Doomsday should have been one of the first CnC figures the line ever saw. What better time to put out such an expensive figure than at the beginning of a line, when your budget is not so tight?

They show me Doomsday and Red Hood Jason Todd (leather jacket, etc) and I'll sign up for the sub no matter who the other figures are.

Sadly, I don't think we'll get another Red Hood figure anytime soon.

Mera would be the key for me, although I am probably in for the DC line anyway. It's the MOTUC sub I am on the fence about.

And that will probably be the deciding factor about monthly or quarterly. The shipping is fairly reasonable when you are getting many figures at once. But a single sub would add up quite a bit.
