It was announced by Mattel at NYCC. He is the 2014 San Diego comicon exclusive. He will be sold on Matty afterwards, like most comicon exclusives.

Yeah, I read it on Facebook and actually participated in someone's poll. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm really looking forward to the containment suit Doomsday. I just hope it isn't a ridiculous amount. I can definitely see the Doomsday vs Superman 2 pack too. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with that though.

$35 was the price quoted for just the Containment Suit version.

That seems like a great price. Hope it doesn't go up and I have someone I know going to the con this year.

Nope, didn't miss a thing. In fact I'll tell you the announcement right now...

"Goodbye fans of Flash 2 haha. Just a little Batzarro humor for you there. So we have some great news about our fan demanded adult collector DCIE figures. The line will be moving forward with a limited release of the figures we already revealed because of a class action suit by the Matty board members! You can get Aquaman 2, Ice and Robin 4 in the fall of 2014 for 75 bucks a piece! Thank you and Hello fans of Green Lantern 3."

Awesome Stephannie Brown as Robin!

Sorry late to the game but had to mention that... the thread is usually full of know-it-all trolls... anyway...

$35.00 is nice for a figure who is a B-A-F when you think about all the other figures you have to buy to gain pieces, Doomsday seems like a nice price.

35 is a great price, but Id pay 50 for the real version. I'll buy containment suit too though, he looks great and the price makes me happy as well.

This!!! I really think matty needs to look at acquiring a separate budget to move forward with the tooling of the unleashed Doomsday as part of a special 2pk with light blue suit Superman. They can price it around the $50 - $60 dollars range as a one off for retail or a series of cons.

If they do what hasbro dose. A set of 6 movie Masters 2 for the movie and the rest comic characters with a BAF in the mix it could work

We're always talking as if we know answers about why Mattel or even other companies do what they do. We don't know. Maybe those of us closer to the inside like Julius have an idea or two that may be closer to the mark but I gather Ego plays a lot into it. "Oh my marketing idea can't be wrong, screw the consumer I know what's best but never even held a figure before" sort of thing. Because I refuse to believe it doesn't with the amount of junk I see sitting out there.

It would be nice if Mattel included a second head, with half of the mask torn off...

Nice suggestion SF. For the most part you could be right VS, fan's tend to be very passionate when it comes to offering up solutions and then not following through when the time comes. I've seen it with various lines over the years. I speak from both a fan and professional perspective whenever I offer a solution or critique.

Is it wrong to hope that BigLots gets flooded with Uncle Sams and Constantines in the near future like they did with the MOTU stuff?
I'd be all over those at $10.

I think Constantine would have been a bigger hit if he had weapons.Ive seen him used in alot of ACBA using props from Buffy and such.Hell a Cross shotgun would have been nice.

I know it's been said before but I know some Vertigo fanatics were put off by his scar too.
