I cancelled my order of the Penguin from BBTS after seeing he was too tall. Still getting Batman, and may get the the Reeve Superman.

I was disappointed that they went with this scale when they were announced, like every one else, I believe they should've been Movie Masters scale, but thought I'd give them a chance. But now, they just seem pointless, Poor sculpting/paint and not being able to get the scale right of the Penguin was enough to turn me off these.

I don't know what Mattel are thinking killing off all 6" style DC figures that people wanted. I still hold out hope that in a year or two they'll see the error of their ways and restart a form of DCUC and movie masters, especially when the new Batman/Superman movie hits. But until then, my money will stay in my pocket.

I truly believe that people are not happy unless they have something to complain about, BUT, it is one thing to go looking for something to complain about, and another entirely to have it walk up and slap you in the face...REPEATEDLY! :? :x :?:

I found Batman at TRU on Sunday, but the price was $17.49!

Sticker shock!

Needless to say, I left that one on its peg.

Found the new wave, or at least 89 Batman and Zod.
$10 at target, which even then I feel is still a little to much.
But the 89 Batman is just to cool and has to many memories for me that I gave in.
Target must have got a truck in recently because they had those, many of the new evergreen line, and a whole case of PR keys.

Is penguin too tall? Yup! Are there some QC issues (paint app)? Um-hum. Is this line perfect? No sir.

...

But this is Mattel. It isn't the line, it's the company. Truly, it's sort of the business. Big business toy lines are riddled with problems. Remember how frustrating it was when we got MM Superman and it didn't scale well with MM Batman? How did most feel about the hands on IH version 1? The 'articulation' episodes that went with JL? It's not the line. It's not the 4" scale.

Toys 'R Us is mushbrains if they think they'll get more than $11.99 for any one of these, though!

/rant :D

Found the 89 Batman at Walmart 2nite for $8.97. Bougth him as someone mentioned above just because the memories. Let everything esle sit as I could care less about Zod, the head on the unmasked one looks terrible, & Penguin is way too tall. Now I wish that I would have bought Penguin to make a cartoon correct BTAS Penguin using the movie version one's coat. I'm sure that I'll find it again soon.

Saw Zod and Masked and Unmasked Batman..

Easy pass (I was passing anyway when these were announced- but they didn't look to good to me) ... and the unmasked Michael Keaton-jeebus is that bad- looks as bad as the generic Funko Retro sculpts--

All I hope is that they don't butcher the catwoman (and its at least 90% close to what they showed at Toyfair)

Went to a local TRU and they pegs had a ton of Penguin. I picked one up and got excited for the availability of future waves then it dawned on me that if Penguin becomes a peg warmer (very possible) it'll be a while before we see future waves. Wish Mattel was more like Hasbro in releasing official info on this stuff.

Zod is already becoming the pegwarmer in the Dallas area.

I found a lot of stores today stocked with the new wave but not a single Penguin to be found. Plenty of Zod and lots of Batman. Lots and lots of Batman...

Same here, though there were only a couple Zod's, no unmasked, no Penguin's, and plenty of masked. I also saw a Freeze. I actually think the case pack makes sense. 89 Batman is the jewel of the wave. No point in loading up on characters with (now) silly costume design from a 35 year old (what!?!?!) movie. I was ecstatic to get Zod, but I realize I'm in the minority.
