The new 1:18 scale Back to the Future Delorean unveiled at Toy Fair looked nice. More detail to it than the DST versions, and a hoverboard sitting inside the passenger seat. :)

Saw the Flintmobile and the Enterprise on those Movie Series (4.97 a piece) cards..

Im sure a hot wheel collector can point out the changes--- but the only thing I saw different from the Blue card release was the fact that they cost 5x as much with different card art.

Found two new Batmobile redecos today (at least to me). One is the 66 Batmobile with extra white lines painted on the top of the car. I didn't pick that up but did get the Chris Nolan Tumbler Batmobile in the desert camoflauge. While a lot of the recent repaints have just been cosmetic tweaks, this one is movie accurate. Well worth the 84 cents I paid for it.

BTW, Hot Wheels are on sale for 84 cents at WalMart right now.

Keep forgetting to post this... Not sure if they're Walmart exclusives or not (EDIT: yep, Walmart exclusives), but my store got in three pre-packed displays with Spider-Man themed Hot Wheels in them. They're the standard basic car price and molds just themed to Spidey. There are eight cars in the set but none of the cases we got in had the number 8 car (Evil Twin) in it (of course the eBay sellers are claiming it to be a chase car...). There's one car themed to Rhino, one to Green Goblin and one to Venom. The rest are themed to some Spider-Man costume. Was surprised that there wasn't an Electro car...

Also just discovered that there was a similar 6-car set (EDIT: correction, 7-car set) available last year at Kroger's that was themed to Superman (one cardback even featured STAS artwork).

http://www.hotwheelscollectors.com/news ... ws_id=1577

...and while searching for info on the number 8 car I found a listing for a regular line car that is Snoopy's dog house as a hot rod with him sitting on top of it. Car is called "Snoopy" and is number 88/250 and has the HW CITY blue stripe down the side of the card.

Thanks for the heads up. Hope these aren't too pricey.

Well I picked the venom and Rhino up last week-- Have seen them at 2 other wal mart-- and still no sign of the #8 car.. Just .97.

I meant to mention the superman cars-- picked up a few at Kroger on clearance about 5 months ago-- they had pegs and pegs of them and couldn't get rid of them-- I picked up the animated card art ones-- (for a whopping .25 a piece)-- I actually think there are still a few there.

Apparently the "Homer" car-- (the green car he designed for Herb) is also shipping.

And a USS Vengeance from the Trek Movie..

Both Basic Cars

Yeah-- I think the HWGs are making this the "chase" car found four at one time today at a Walmart.-- true there were less of them than the others-- but not a super impossible find apparently...

Forgot to post yesterday... Not a licensed car but probably still of interest, there's another mini-fig compatible car out. It's a cart-racer called "Let's Go" (165/250 red stripe "HW Race"). Has two connectors in the seat for a mini-fig to sit or stand on and they can grip the steering wheel/roll-bar combo (doubt it would be practical in real-life, but it looks cool- the steering wheel appears to circle under and around the seat and over-head to act as a roll-bar).

I found this one the other day and was pretty excited. Sadly the 'pegs' (for lack of a better word) don't hold the minifigure in at all (they don't 'lock' like a regular LEGO). And the position of the 'steering wheel' doesn't really work for them to sit in and hold on to at the same time. The minifigures do sit in the car just fine, they just don't really lock in, which is kind of disappointing.

Still a cute effect, and I suppose it's a great effort considering LEGO and Mattel are entirely differnet toy companies, but they could have done a better job assuring the minifigures fit tightly.
