I'm betting it's a light blue superman repaint that folks have been asking for forever.

I thought ToyGuru shot this down in the MattyCollector forum a few weeks ago, saying we are NOT getting a special final figure. And now he's switching stories yet again, saying that we ARE getting a surprise figure, confirming the original rumor that was circulating from last Fall.

Whatever. I just hope it's not as much of a disappointment as the "thank you gift" the Ghostbusters subscribers got. If it's light blue Superman, I'll be happy... and ToyGuru's hints certainly point in that direction.

Im praying for Granny Goodness but since doomsday was too much tooling, the odds for granny are slim. Probably some superpowers re deco which I am totally fine with. I want Wonder Woman and Superman.

I am betting its Super Powers in some manner. Now it could be the a 2 pack with Wonder Woman SP repaint and light blue Supes. Orrrrr its a long shot but maybe a 5 pack ? Cause I doubt they would make new packaging for a 3 pack with a SP Batman so maybe a 5 pack? What other Super Powers repaints or figures require little to no tooling ? maybe the could include the yellow bands Captain Marvel so that's four hmmmmm

It's the Superman.

Easy reprint? Check.

Fairly well-demanded (although for the life of me I don't know why)? Check.

Top tier character? Check.

Frankly, I'll be shocked if it's anything else.

It has to be superman and if we're lucky, Wonder Woman. Perfect Pack right there...fan demanded repaints and two of the most popular characters in the Dc Universe.

If they can gang the new parts into tooling that's being done (a new head or belt, nothing huge or engineering specific) it could be something more than just a repaint. Vixen comes to mind as she'd only be a head and necklace, perhaps a Dark Knight Returns Superman made from He-Man parts (especially if any new parts could be re-used for that line) but nothing as tooling intense as the unleashed Doomsday or Granny...

It's gonna be a repaint. There's no way Mattel will cough up the money to do tooling of any kind, no matter how minor it is.

I'm 99% sure it's light blue Superman. He's a big enough iconic character to be an appropriate last figure for the line, and he fits the clues of being a long fan-requested heroic figure.

Besides, there's gotta be an explanation for the light blue Superman figures that kept popping up on Ebay every few months over the last 2 years, stolen from Chinese factories. Mattel probably produced a run of these awhile back and has been sitting on them for some time now, waiting for the right time to release him.

Superpowers figures were cool! I never picked them up because I don't have a full superpowers collection but they are nice nods to fans who wanted them

Did he say it was a figure? My guess is it's some sort of complete character poster or printed backdrop (equivalent to the maps and character poster MOTUC got)

They didn't help either. Some of the biggest wastes of plastic they made were because of SP.
