I got a couple of these last week and I have to say he is pretty cool, the head sculpt could be better. I collected DCUC and it's previous lines for a while and we had a fire and lost everything (no insurance on the toys). I was going to throw in the towel but I couldn't . So after a year of nothing I have slowly started building back up. When I saw this figure at SDCC I new I had to get back into this line. I waited for him and in 20 waves he never came. Here is a pic, is anybody else excited for this figure?

Head over to the Fwoosh. They did an excellent review of him with lots of pics.

I am looking forward to him, but not as well as Aquaman and Ice.

I don't need a review I have him. Just wondering who else was looking forward to getting him.

Afi's Aquaman review has a picture of him. And well... between the face, the price and the scale... it's a tough sell for me. (And I love the Titans.) But he looks like a powered down Colossus. (And way too tall to pose next to Superman.) Honestly Mattel, how hard is it to use a ruler?

Or at the very least, a new head on one of your other molds.

To be fair, I don't think the molds exist for the Young Justice Superboy, only the sculpt does. So they've obviously had to use existing molds for this character which when added up together causes the poor scale. Granted, scale has never been a strong point of any Mattel line. What's sad is that the new sculpt/mold they've actually had to create - the face - is terrible.

In the Fwoosh pics, it looks a little better.

But still, not one of 4H's better designs.

Maybe you're right. But to me, that Superboy looked like a cross between Mattel's 6" Young Justice Superboy and the Legion's Brainiac 5. Mix and match with some Movie Masters shins & boots (from the various Batman/Avatar/Ghostbusters lines) and you got youself a Superboy pretty similar to the one Mattel pictured.

Anyways, the whole thing is not a big deal. What is, is.

But between you and I... I can't help thinking that the head came before the body. They had that awful head, and that's the body that matches it. Makes sense when you think of all the people that stopped collecting 'cause they thought Mattycollector had become a dumping ground for rejected figures. (Which kind of explains the awful choices and face sculpts we've been getting lately. --Aquaman being the notable exception, of course.)

I thought he misread what I wrote, no need to be an ass about it.

I'm not fond of the head, and I didn't know the scale was that bad. Okay, Superboy definitely "grew up" in recent years a fair bit, but he shouldn't be the same size as an adult!

The headsculpt, to me, looks like the Superboy Prime figure with a bad haircut.

The face is too long and narrow, as is the nose, and what's with those ears!?

I was very impressed with Aquaman, I'm very much looking forward to Ice, Damian should be cool, but of the four, Superboy is the least of the lot.

It's still a grievous shame that the line is coming to an end. There's so much more that could've been done.
