Hey gang,
I've seen alot of emails flying around commenting about certain figures not having the right colors on boots/belts etc. (Aquaman among others)
If someone will please follow up this post with point by point what they feel the changes should be on figures in wave 1 and 2 (with comic images to back up comments) I will pass on to the designers to see if these changes are possible.
I just ask that people don't post the same comments twice. Keep it short and to the point please.
Thanks,
TG

Classic Firestorm's face is painted funny.
It makes it looks like he's screaming.

Let me reiterate. Please only post on this thread with comments about paint as it relates to an accurate version of character's costume. (like if we painted Aquaman purple, I would see a post here saying "Aquaman's shirt should be orange" which would be followed up by an image from a comic or other media showing the color of Aquaman's shirt as orange. Get it?
This will be the most efficiant way of getting feedback to the design team. If we clog this chain with random thoughts and feedback it won't be as deliverable to the paint team.

Honestly, as far as paint goes, the ONLY think that I noticed that is a big deal is that, at WW Chicago, the two Aquaman figures had swapped lower bodies. The pictures in the slides and on the Wizard website are correct. Correct Incorrect Otherwise, GREAT. And not to go off topic but is there still time to redo the Classic Firestorm head? Also, the paint (white head and purple torso) on this Metamorpho is more accurate: Than the brown and silver here: Finally, not that it might not be comic accurate but I am not a fan of the orange used for the Penguin's vest. White or black or purple would look better in my opnion.

yes. The "gold belt- no black shorts" legs should go on the moderen Aquaman (the gold belt matches the gold gauntlets) and the "yellow belt -black shorts" legs should be on the classic Aquaman.

I dunno, I think the shiny golden belt looks bad-ass on classic Aquaman.

Batman's belt should be yellow not dull brown.

Shouldn't one of Aquaman's hands be blue?

And building off the picture provided by ashley76, the inside of Batmans cape would be fan-friggin-tastic if it were black - but that's a minor critique, the figure still looks cool.

TG, I'm not sure if this qualifies, but what about casting Superman Blue and Superman Red in translucent plastic and painting the detail on as normal?

The new aquaman should have bare upper arms and those armor shoulder pads right?

I disagree. That black-inside cape is an abberation and definately not-on model. I second the desire for Batman to have a yellow belt rather than the golden one. It also depends on the feel you're going for, but if you want to do a "Super Powers" Batman, then his underwear should remain blue. But if you are striving for a Pre-Crisis/Bronze Age Batman, then the underpants should be black or black with blue highlights along the sides. Toyguru, thanks for listening to us uber-geeks on this. Sorry about my previous post, I couldn't resist!

The face should be painted on though. This would sooo rock. Also, two things about Red Tornado The lining of the Modern Red Tornado's cape is yellow, not Red And much art portrays the Classic version as having whited out eyes. (Image from ToyFare, just tweaked it)These two things, I think would make the two variants even more unique from each other beyond the change of boots and gloves.
