Cornboy stopped by The Fwoosh and answered some questions. He confirmed that they got the go-ahead to make a new head for the classic Ronnie Raymond Firestorm.
No more yelling face! Yea! Thanks to the 4H and to Mattel for hearing the fans on this.

That's great news! Yet another reason why DCU is better than HML.

Awesome. Mattel and the 4 Horseman are really being awesome with this line and really trying to make fans happy.

Thats great! Firestorm is one of my all time favorites since I was a kid and that screaming face was totally ruining that figure. I will ABSOLUTELY be getting this figure now.

Are they gonna make his flames translucent? That would REALLY make my day more than the face change!

I can cope with the "yelling" face on Firestorm...but, it's that god-awful Penguin sculpt that I think needs to be reconsidered from head to toe! There's nothing "classic" about it. And even for some weird artist-specific looking version of the Penguin, it still looks like @#$$%!!! Even the Mego Penguin is more classic-looking than this. I am a very disgruntled Batfan!

In fact, several years ago, when Cornboy WALKED INTO MY SUNCOAST, I got to chat with him about figures that I hope were going into the Batman line, and he told me the Penguin was, indeed, planned for the line, but it was shelved for the time. This was something I wanted to tell everyone, but had to keep me lips sealed. So now, I finally get to own the figure they sculpted.

I too, love Penguin's sculpt. As for Firestorm, this is great! Has there ever been a toy line that was this responsive to fan input before? I love the Horsemen and DCUC right now. Makes this day even better.
