CTR has posted their latest Mattel Q&A here... http://www.cooltoyreview.com/story/fron ... 108892.asp...I'm sure a lot of you will be happy with the last answer they gave CTR... Not sure what other sites are participating, but post links to the posts here as you find them.

I think a big, menacing BAF Doomsday would be great, but I don't see any need for BAF Darkseid or Mongul.
I would love to see a Batman '89 Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson Joker though!

Thanks for posting the link to CTR Jim. I wasn't aware what other sites were participating in the Mattel Q&A, so it's good to see there's more than just AFI and the Fwoosh.
I think the Darkseid and Mongul versions that we have are very well done, but I wouldn't be opposed to having them beefed up for a BAF. Doomsday is probably at the top of that shortlist though.

If the entire DCAU is now free to be mined (aside from those characters still with licensing issues), will we be seeing some new body types in the JLU line for newer characters? What I mean by this is, if you were to make the legion of superheroes as they appeared in the JLU, would we see a new teen male and female body made for these characters?
A: Yes. If we did teen characters in the JLU style we would create new bodies. Same goes for a new Supergirl as an adult (if we did her). We are trying to make the JLU figures as close to on-model as possible and if that means a character needs a new body, that is what we will do. This is handled on a figure by figure basis. But remember, doing a new body means a new tool which is more expensive to produce. One of the reasons we are able to create so many characters in the JLU style is due to the simplicity of the body and the re-use of existing tools.

Thanks for the details...I was working from memory and was too lazy to look up where I read that question. Peace, Chip

Am I the only one unsatisfied with their answer concerning distribution? Maybe there is some confusion, but In my neck of the woods, it isn't that retail stores aren't carrying DCSH or JLU figs, it's that Mattel either isn't shipping any new product, or the pegs are jammed full of Suerman Batman or Scarecrow figures.

Mattel's manufacturing facilities fill the orders of the big retailers in Asia and the retailers take care of distribution from there, once it's in the warehouses in the states it goes to stores based on "need" for more product, not necessarily when the store just needs to get a new wave in.
