I know I may be a bit late to the party, but I have to echo anyone who's recommended either the Midsummer's Nightmare or the New World Order trades. They both introduced arguably the most iconic team, "The Big Seven," and are great reintroductions to the characters and very cool stories in and of themselves. Excellent stuff from Waid and Morrison, respectively.
