Take basic He-Man and darken hair to brown. Add Zodak's armor in black. Give him a small sword and Zodak's gun, both black and presto! And he may come with a small brown loaf of bread. No kidding.

He is something of a real character. He is based on an elusive He-Man figure offered by Wonder Bread (Hence the name and loaf of bread) as a mail away. He is something of an enigma as there is little to no record of his existence. While some have argued him a hoax, I believe someone actually does have the wonder bread bag that had the info on it.

Yeah he's a very cool and very unique variant of He-Man. Reminds me very much of the original mini-comics He-Man.

I absolutely remember the Wonder Bread bag from when I was a kid. And, as I recall, I didn't want him. At the time, I wasn't into He-Man. Not until my mom bought me a few. By then, the Wonder Bread He-Man was over with. But, I'm not sure that he ever existed as anything but a prototype or an ad picture.
Wun-Dar is a really cool figure for Mattel to make. I was pretty sure that he was a forgone conclusion as soon as the MOTU Classics line took off the way it did. Simple repaint=no-brainer.

The character in the Wonder Bread giveaway was called Savage He-Man. The giveaway was a real event but I don't think I've ever come across an actual figure. Don't know anyone who got one and have never see fan photos, just publicity shots.

It is pretty easy to find images of the original on the internet... Hence how I was able to provide a link in my prior post. The problem with buying one is that it can be expensive and that people will sell fakes made out of a regular He-Man figure.

Ok, yes this figure has a really neat history...
But man does this show how cheap mattel is.
You'd think with them being the only Heman game in town and making people drop $20 a figure there would be something more original. Won't this be the second straight repaint of Heman they have done ?

I can't believe they actually included a loaf of bread in there.
Wonder Bread isn't being distributed in Southern California anymore, which is where Mattel keeps its headquarters. I find that somewhat ironic right now.
(Weber's is okay, but I still miss Wonder.)

If by second straight repaint that is exactly how the figure is supposed to be, then yes.
