It's a quick one tonight, but after last week's abysmal look at the overpriced Disney/Pixar Collection figures, I thought I'd give the larger 6" line another look. I grabbed Twitch, the insectoid action figure in the new film, and while he's not perfect, he's a whole lot better than anything in that 'collector' series.

You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

This new line looks good enough to start my Toy Story collection. I've only seen them in the pics from Toy Fair and they seem solid, good looking figures to display and that's why I don't need too much articulation. My only complaint would be that Lotso and Rex are not in scale.

Thanks for the review Michael, was very helpful. I hope you can review more figures from this line soon.

I had the same thought about that Barbie, Michael. Between that one and the one-that-shall-not-be-named-here Barbie in the Bond Girls line there are some mighty risque names in the toy aisles right now...

Yea, I think the Barbie product managers have way too much fun with the names, much like headline writers for newspapers.

Michael, I bought Sparks in the 6" line the other day at TRU.

Thus far, that's the best Sparks that Mattel has put out though by no means perfect. Just like with the "collector" series Sparks, there's a heavy use of stickers. He does have neck and shoulder joints and a press of the back panel triggers the telescoping arms.

While I would have preferred the level of articulation as seen in the film, he is a great looking character.
It's going to be hard not to buy him for my vintage MOTU collection! Thank you for the review.
