Hourman is just a personal favorite of mine, I was psyched to see him getting made, though I wasn't all that keen on the cloth cape thing on him. (I think it's a great homage to Super Powers) But I've seen customs nail the look of the figure and was expecting the same level of quality from Mattel, HOWEVER I was still out of my mind to see and Hourman figure and now it's gone

I agree. I want a 4" Hourman too.

I think we need 2. One is about the specific 10" Hourman, the other is to MATTEL - TO NOTICE TO MAKE A 4 " HOURMAN!

The line hasn't been picked up yet, so the point is moot. As of now, we're not getting one...nor any other DCAU figure except what's been already announced.

What was the reason why on releasing a 10" HOURMAN and not a 4.5" version first?

They wanted to do soft goods(capes) rehashes of 10" figures that would be fairly easy and quick to produce. New characters were mostly out of the question as the details on the larger figures are sculpted right on and quite distinct, but I guess Atom with a cape was close enough to Hourman that he could pass as new. He does look great.

As for why he wasn't made in the 4" line, no clue as all they are is repaints.
