Hey guys, i just thought of something. Everyone of us has reported that Grodd is not in Target's system yet and had to be manually rung up as a misc. item. That means that Target has no idea what item is being sold. Is anyone else worried that if we all buy our Grodds as misc. items Target will never know how well they sold, and not want to have another exclusive for next year?
I mean i guess if the 6-packs are disapearing they know they are selling, but as for individual totals for how well an item is selling, as for as Target is concerned that profits on Grodd could be $0.00?? I hope they fix this.

THis same situation occured a few years ago when Target got the 3 exclusive 3 packs of Black Canary, Orion and Bizarro....it took several weeks before they were entered into the system and we were worried that they were not "getting credit" for the items scanned....but since then we have had a few exclusives....

I've contacted Mattel about this and they are looking into it. Yeah, the same thing did happen with those other 3 packs. That time it was Texas Ranger that got it straighted out with Target because of the feedback he was reading about here on AFI.
Hopefully they'll get it knocked out soon.

It's a shame if this has happened before and now it has to happen again. More bad luck for JLU. Hopefully more of the Grodd 6-packs are being counted as the sale of Doomsday 6-packs than as misc. items. I don't want any skewed statistics hurting JLU's future, the poor line is fighting hard enough already!
Edit: Thanks Julius for contacting them! We must have posted at the same time!

Interesting!
I bought two Grodd sets yesterday, and they didn't ring-up. The manager was there, and he asked if I knew how much they cost. I told him I wasn't sure, but I thought that they were $19.99, like I thought the JLU Doomsday pack was. He said, "Ok. I don't want to walk all the way back, so if you're okay with $19.99, that's fine".
Jeez...I really didn't think much about it. But how much are the Grodd sets going for? I thought $19.99...but maybe I was mistaken?

Grodd is finally in Target's system starting today. I'm sure the sales will still be strong after that glitch.

I'm wondering if the Grodd sets were put out too early? I've had that happen with other toy lines where the DCPI changed and the new stuff was put out before the new numbers were in the system.

Care to share the DCPI number (Or was it the DPCI number, whatever?) Anyone? Thanks!

My wife just seen a whole bunch of the sets at Target here in RI. I don't need it so I'm not sure if it was ringing in correctly or not. They didn't have any 10" JLU figures though. They also had a bunch of new Super Friend figures too but no Lex or GL.

No Grodd's at my Target, but they did clear out all of the gray and red Doomsday packs. What's up with that?
