Any guesses? I think a classic Batman with black instead of blue. or an all black Batman maybe. Kinda like DC Super Friends

TG said that the "eagle-eyed" would spot the variant, IIRC, so I'm afraid that whatever it is won't be all that different from the "regular" figure. I, too, think it will be Batman... maybe a darker blue without the oval around the bat?...

Based on what we've seen of Battle League/Fighting Figures, my guess is a white-suited Penguin, a black-tights Batgirl, and Two-Face in traditional colors.

Perhaps a variant Batman and Superman included in another Wave. I'm sure they'll rehash (I mean re-package) a lot of this years figures in upcoming Waves. A business-suited Lex would be OK with me. Or his traditional purple/green jumpsuit.

I'll also bet that we get Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter (who would be easy to create using most of Red Tornado's body parts) in Waves 4 or 5. The Horsemen have more than likely tackled them in the 6'' format at this point since they are part of the Fighting Figures line-up.

Mattel is probably counting on Green Arrow to anchor one of those Waves. And Wonder Woman to anchor the other. Who would be the related characters? Black Canary. Cheetah.

Is anyone hoping for Hawkman or Hawkgirl (each with variants and lots of weapons) in 2008?

I think the 4th wave will be anchored by Wonder Woman...I just don't think they will keep putting her off and pissing off the fans...but I would bet that Mattel gives us a male nemesis for her: namely Ares. As awesome as it would be to get Cheetah, I don't think Mattel is confident enough to put two females in a five figure assortment.

I believe wave 5 will be ALL about Green Arrow with Black Canary being the other major character in the assortment...for the villain, I would go with Merlyn or maybe Dr Light.

Not sure where Hawkman and Hawkgirl come in...but my guess would be that we will see at least ONE of them by SDCC08...I just don't think we will get them both in the same wave simply because of the MASSSIVE amount of plastic it will take to make them...

I just wonder what wave Zatanna will be in...

Will she be lumped into a JLA wave headlined by Martian Mahunter?

Will she be in a mystical wave with Dr Fate?

She's the one figure I am MOST excited about!

One thing led to the next, and an interesting exchange resulted from what started out as perhaps a not so interesting opening post.

I asked Toy Guru about the variants in this wave and he said there is the Red Tornado and one other that well will discover " on the shelves". But he said it is not Batman for sure. So take a good look at the Penguin, Orion, Demon cause it's one of them.
