I posted in another Grodd thread the average sale price for the Target exclusive Grodd six pack. But since I've also started watching the Mr. Miracle three pack sales on eBay, I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to both sets of results.

Here are the results as of the date of this post. If you're buying these off eBay, take a look, the statistics might help you get better deals.

For Grodd I've looked at 69 sales. The average sale price is $26.62+-0.59 and the average number of bids is 3.5+-0.4. The average sale price looks to be pretty much independent of the number of bids.

The above results include all the single bid "Buy it Now" sales. If I exclude those, then the average sale price drops to $24.18+-0.37 and with 5.4+-0.5 bids. The average sale price looks to be pretty much independent of the number of bids.

So far, the sale price and number of bids also seems to be independent of time.

For Mr. Miracle I've looked at five sales. The average sale price is $39.62+-2.88 and the average number of bids is 8.5+-2.5.

With so few statistics, further anaylsis at this time isn't prudent.

I got a two Grodd sets below the average price and snagged a Mr Miracle below the average. So I win.

Well unless you count the guys who actually picked them up at a Target, Wal Mart, Toys R Us or the like. But so far my trips to stores have turned up empty. So I lose.

I snagged a Miracle and Grodd off eBay a few days before they respectively started showing up in stores for $7.99 each.

True I didn't get the other figures, but I didn't want them. Find me a reasonably priced Volcana and we'll call it even.

Grodd six pack:

73 sales; average price: $26.72+-0.50; average number of bids: 3.4+-0.4 (including "Buy it Now" sales)
40 sales; average price: $24.33+-0.48; average number of bids: 5.4+-0.6 (excluding "Buy it Now" sales)

Mr. Miracle three pack:

eight sales; average price: $37.06+-2.52; average number of bids: 9.1+-1.6 (including "Buy it Now" sales)

I had guessed (and JB's spreadsheets show) that people are willing to pay more for Mr. Miracle since he is so shortpacked. Only 8 sales on ebay--VTH indeed.
