Julius,
Do you know of any plan to do a DC version of Marvel Super Hero Squad? It took some time, but eventually we got a DC version of Spiderman and Friends (which should still be made. Why they stop is beyond me.) Hopefully it won't take as long.

I'd like to see them take this a step farther, and give us DC versions of Tech Deck Dudes, essentially the same thing with magnets so I can stand them on my door, fridge, dishwasher, washine machine, dryer, etc. It would just be cool to have them all over the place.

Wouldn't these be the figures they showed during the surveys at Comic-Con?

Would be awesome, but I doubt it'll happen. Doesn't Mattel having the master DC license bar Hasbro from producing anything DC related?

We all know that; the person who started the thread meant a similar line from Mattel.

Oh, didn't know that's what was meant. Oh course that would be kick ass and let the DC vs. Marvel Superhero Squad displays begin!

pssst. Its a secret. But you can do the Minis DC vs Marvel already. Minimates and HeroClix both come in DC and Marvel. HeroClix has a huge variety. You've never seen such a diverse population of characters. Start your addiction today with cheap lots of older figures on eBay...

I'd love to see that...the Superhero Squad breaks my DC-lovin' heart.

Mattel did show some pics of potential SHS inspired figures on a collectors survey over the summer. Personally, while I do like a couple of those styles I really hope they go back to the old Fisher-Price Great Adventures line for inspiration on any potential DC line as I believe that's what inspired the original Playskool Star Wars Jr line that became Galactic Heroes and led to Superhero Squad (and Robot Heroes and Adventure Heroes). Plus if they use Great Adventures as the style choice they can't be accused of ripping off Hasbro...

Considering of course that the ToyBiz/Hasbro "Spiderman and Friends" are a clone of Mattel's "Rescue Heroes".

I am torn on this debate. Personally, I desperately need for them to NOT make any NEW lines of DC figures to collect. I am getting too much as it is (I don't personally think this is true but those that I live with ... that's another story)
However, I love the cute little design of these figs. And I agree that "Tech Deck" style figs with magnet feet would rock the casbah!
oooohhhh, i am so torn. Wallet says no, the little "i want it i want it i want it" voice says yes ...
D'OH!

I say go ahead and rip them off. I like the styles of the Super Hero Squad. I once thought it woudl be cool if they did a Imaginex version of the DC universe with playsets and stuff, but I think this would be to cool of a bandwagon that Mattel could easially hop on to.
Does anybody have pictures of "Great Adventures"?

Here's an auction for a Sherrif of Nottingham...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fisher-Price-Sherif ... dZViewItem
Just do a search for "fisher price great adventures" and all sorts of sets will come up. I know I have a few skeleton pirates around here (and they glow-in-the-dark, too!) and I always thought the sets were great and I wish I'd gotten more of the stuff, especially the Robin Hood sets. If I'm not mistaken, Maid Marion was the only figure who had visible eyes...
