after seeing the new trailer for TDK (and good god, what a trailer!), and reading some news from SDCC, i got wondering about mattel's 6" TDK line. here are my expectations for the line.
heroes:
batman- big duh
bruce wayne- mainly cuz we've never really gotten a definitive version.
alfred- same as bruce, and because most of the first 3 waves of DCUC have already been done by DCD.
villains:
joker- i've said many times over that he'll be main joker, and i dont think mattel's stupid enough to leave him out when he's the movies villain.
scarecrow: process of elimination
ra's al ghul- same as johnny.
so what are your guys's expectations?

I expect more peg-clogging Bat-figures, just like the previous Bat-movies and Superman Returns based figures.
That's fine with me however, as long as there are plenty of DC Classics and Justice League Unlimited figures right alongside of them.

Exactly why they probably won't be peg-cloggers. They won't be anything like the toys from the movies you mentioned.

I agree...this line has the makings of a MUCH more collector friendly situation...
The sculpts for both the first Batman movie and Superman Returns were ATROCIOUS...
This wave of 6 figures is sculpted by the Four Horseman which virtually guarantee a massive jump in quality...those guys are incapable of letting something uncool come out of their department.
My Guess:
2 Batman
2 Joker
Two Face

I think the Mattel Q&As or an interview with TG said that there would be two Batman figures and it sounded like the rest would be villains, so I'll say...
Batman Begins Batman
The Dark Knight Batman
The Joker
Two-Face
Scarecrow
Ra's al Ghul
If the cases pack out at 12 I could see 2x BB, 3x TDK, 3x Joker, 2x Two-Face, 1x Scarecrow, 1x Ra's... If the cases pack out at 6 there will have to be multiple waves/mixes because I can't imagine them packing out less than 2x TDK and 2x Joker in a single case...

my guess
Batman
Bruce-to-batman (but a cool one)
Gordon
Joker
Joker w/ color change face (think the 89 version but cooler)
trasforming harvey dent (interchagable head, or color change to become twoface)

I'm more worried about the retailers over-ordering these Dark Knight figures, and under-ordering DC Classics and "JLU" because of that.

If they're the same size (they say 6...but will it be?) and as good of a sculpt as Toybiz' Spider-Man and X2, I'll get them.

no matter how cool we all know Alfred is....I just don't think there is a chance in hell retailers will clamor for a grey haired man servant.

If memory serves, aren't the 4 Horsemen supposed to be involved in this line?

As long as there's no ninja batman, scuba batman, gold plated bling bling batman, the line ought to kick butt.
