It's been said that SuperPowers is something of a guide/template for Mattel on the DCUC line. Well, if that's true, then perhaps there may be a Parademon figure in our future? That could be the lines first army builder type figure...
Just a thought that popped into my head while reading the new issue of Death of the New Gods today...

That's a great idea for an army builder! The Parademon was one of my favorite Super Powers figs when I was growing up. Really, all of the Fourth World figures were my favorites. I can't even imagine how cool a 4H sculpted Parademon would be!

I'd buy around 3 to 4 of them.

No, no, the Parademon should come with its BAF piece. However, the piece should be something that could be used multiple times in creating a BAF. I've heard someone suggest that a Marvel armybuilder could have Stiltman's legs; that way, you only need one Stiltman, but you can make him taller by purchasing multiple armybuilders.
Can you imagine a Starro wave where the tentacles are all interchangeable? With a single armybuilder, you could build multiple Starros (with another character having the center piece of Starro). The idera isn't perfect, but it could work.

Parademons are my #! choice for army builders. Starro is a good C&C idea. Interchangeable GLC heads might also work. Sorry I'm not too creative today.

Do people really army build? It looks cool when I see it it in some displays but I thought that was the exception not the rule.

Army building in the G.I.Joe community is very popular! I can see it happening in other toylines.
I am currently army building Parademons for my Super Powers collection!

I wonder how wide the demand is for such things. I know some folks do this with big diaramas of Snow troopers or some such things, but I think most collectors only go for 'one of each'.

It's interesting. I talked to DC Direct about this at SDCC this year. They said that their OMACs and Weaponers of Qward figures didn't sell any better than anything else they've done.

(I wonder how Hasbro's doing with the HML wave 3 Hydra agent.)

If I were to base things on how one of our friends in VA is piling up his Hydra army, I'd say Hasbro is probably doing good with those Hydras. Here are a couple of pics of his recent hauls:

Someone at DC was clearly off his rocker to assume anyone wanted that lame-o Weaponer of Qward figure! What a piece of junk! Who ever even requested him???
I am also on board with as many New God characters as possible! Would love to see DCUC eclipse Super Powers...let's see Granny, Barda, Kanto, Metron etc!!! Love them all.

I'd get a few parademons...4-7 tops. I thought they were the coolest looking 4th Worlders. The re-design made them look even more demonic.

At $15 a pop, who can an afford an army of OMACS or Qwards?
