Just picked up on clearance at a local Target ( the only Target in the area clearancing these items).

LOTR Black Gate $17.98
Turtles Shredder drag bike $7.50
Turtles Lair attack $14.98
Dark Knight tumbler chase $12.98

They also had the Turtles Shellraiser street chase for $17.98, but left that one behind.

The Black Gate LOTR for $20? Somebody screwed up. I'd better hit some Targets tonight.

This isn't the first time Target has done something like that. Last year I picked up the Mining Colony City set for about $25.

And then other times they advertise something as being on sale and it has a mark down of $0.05 off the original pricing ...

:(

Apparently my Target hasn't gotten the message that Lego sets are ready for discount.
Hopefully those clearance prices you listed are Corporate wide and not just a regional/store clearance...

just a heads up, I've picked up some LEGO on Super clearance the the last few days at both Target and Walmart.

The Walmart near me seemed to be clearancing the LOTR stuff. I pick up The attack on Weathertop set for $10.00. They had 10 of them, and i grabbed one, then i figured I'd go grab another to army build the Kings but they were all gone like 10 minutes later.

\Then the next day at Target there were some Star Wars Lego on clearance, none of them were that great of a deal, but they one with Qui Gon, Obiwan, Queen Amidala and Jar Jar in the underwater ship was $8.00, I'm going to keep checking back to see if the others drop. It was some star wars x-wing looking thing, but not the x-wing but it was still 23.00

That set was originally $ 70.00 -- if thats not a great deal-- You have very high expectations..

No, o worded that poorly. i did think that was a great deal. I picked it up, but the other stuff didn't seem to be marked down as steeply.

While I wasn't able to score the LOTR Black Gate for the killer deal listed above, I did manage to get a matching set for $35.

My army of eagles continues to grow!
