I understand the counter-argument, but I simply gotta say, if they wanted these to be identified, they would've released 'em in sets.
to be sure, their security measures to date have been lackluster, but I really think they need to step it up. The very purpose of these is randomness, and the thrill of the hunt.
I get where you're coming from, in that you want only certain ones. I do too, but I also think the randomness is part of the fun.
that said, there's always the secondary market to get the ones you want, but then, you'd have to pay a premium.
so it's a double edged sword, but I err on the side of original intent, over convenience, at least when it comes to this.
YMMV.

Shellhead - I'm in Phoenix, too... Is there anything you're looking for? Anything you have extra of? Thanks, Matt Shellhead wrote: Saw these at my TRU this past weekend. Let me rephrase that: I saw the torn empty remains of the box that held series three. Who knew Lego fans were like the Hot Wheels guys? Lego Maniac, indeed.

For anyone still on the hunt for these, every Target in my area has just added multiple cases (at least 2 per store) to the "holiday area". They are with all the Valentine's toys and sold for $2.99 ea.
I'm damn near complete (just missing the Street Punk and the Cyborg) and will hopefully pick those up later today (pending a trade outcome).

I went to a Lego store somewhat nearby and found the baseball player. He was one of the only other ones that I casually wanted but they were only 2.99 there at the lego store so I couldnt resist. Got some star wars minifig keychains on clearance (Luke Skywalker, Imperial Speeder Bike scout.) and a Darth Vader for Regular price. I cut the keychains off so now I have some sweet Star Wars minifigs!

I'd like to see case ratios on these. A local TRU had these behind the customer service counter and the people were cool enough to let my friends and I try to grab the ones we wanted but there definitely seemed like there were a lot of baseball and tennis players, but maybe that's because they were picked through beforehand.

I had to check thru about 4 or 5 different cases to get the ones I wanted( Found the Cyborg, Mummy, adn the Samarai). Tennis player and sumo seemed to be the most that I could feel. One TRU had like 3 cases out, I just felt through all of them, another TRU had it behind the counter (thats the one I found the elf in) and the Lego store had a whole bunch out of the box and on a shelf. The Lego store is the only place I felt the baseball player, and i was suprised it it had other good ones like an elf and the samarai. I was helping a father with kids identify them because I had experience going thru so many boxes by then. I enjoyed getting this series cuz I totally missed series 1 and got only 3 from series 2(vampire, Maraca Man, and Ringmaster). The one I most looking forward to in Series 4 is the Hazmat guy and possibly Frankenstien.

My guess is we will start seeing wave 4 at Target with the next Seasonal reset for Easter goods. They will most likely display them as a "basket stuffer" as they did with the other waves for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day (? ?) Wave 5 would be, if I'm thinking about all this correctly, sometime in June. For those that just can't wait, I have already seen several (highly overpriced) auctions on ebay for loose samples of Series 4 ...

Saw a couple boxes of Wave 3 at TRU yesterday. They were mixed right in with the rest of the Legos.
I want to like these, but the randomness is a turn off. Glad to see they're successful, though.

My Walmart just got in 4 pull pegs of series 3. $2.97 a piece. Is there some way to tell who is in the package. I need that elf.
Nevermind I see the post about the "bumps" ...
