Dan: Wow! I love those old Castle sets! I think that Yellow one was one of my first really memorable Lego sets! I loved the delicate little knight visors (which I promptly lost). I don't have many vintage sets left complete, though I did find a boxed unbuilt Forestmen set at my Mom's in the garage...

Jeff: You should definitely look into Bricklink for individual minifigs. Also, assuming they do them, the Magnet sets and Keychains are a decent way to get minifigures. The newer ones (Ninjago, Pharaoh's Quest) have the figures glued at the waist and to the magnet bricks, but they're fairly easy to remove from the mag brick.

4-L: 50's style saucers? That sounds intriguing!!!

Oh hell.

Forget everything I said about only getting minifigures.

What a great theme! New sculpted alien heads? Face hugger type things? Retro Mars Attack vibe?

I also want a few of the POTC sets and one more of the Pharoah quest sets. The regular Ninjago sets are great as well, and they have been selling like crazy at retail stores

Yeah,

It's amazing how the regular Ninjago stuff is flying off the shelves, but the carded tops seem to be selling much more slowly.

But then considering you can get the Ice Dragon, or the Chopper plus a small set for basically the price of 2 tops it's no wonder.

I would have given the tops a try at say $7 or under, but for $10 it just seems too much.

I bought them pretty much a day or so after they were put out so I had prime picking, when I went to another target a few days later they had like one little set left.. I do however want one of those cool oriental round pointed hats for my ninja collection!

Me too. I want those little Anubis-head warriors, bad.

Those UFO sets look wild! But what I'm excited for are the Pirates of the Caribbean Lego sets! I've resisted full-on Lego collecting for a few years now, but Captain Jack Sparrow and pals will most likely reel me back in.

I really believe Legos are the best toy ever created. Not only are the sets great (and keep getting better), but you can then build almost anything you want once you're tired for the "official" set.

For example, I'm currently building battlegrounds for my Mini-mate collection. City streets, construction sites, parks, etc.

I love the little plastic pieces of crack!

And, because they won't biodegrade for 100's of years, I know future generations will continue to enjoy them!

I love legos. I have a lot of the original star wars sets. I missed out on a couple of the batman sets, but have all the spider-man lego sets. My favorite sets are the castle and ninja sets. I'm surprised it took them so long to hit the ninja theme again.

I still pick up sets for my nieces and nephew. I actually like the houses they have in the creator sets. What I don't like is the simplified builds they use in a lot of their sets now.

I haven't gotten the new blind packaged minifigs. They look great, but the price point seems high. Of course, I'll prob break down and pay through the nose for them later...

I don't collect Legos... although I agree with Shellhead, "Best toy ever created!" I do collect Character Options Charact Building line... think Doctor Who meets Mega Blocks!

Several years ago I found an original Castle set (huge box) at a garage sale. Paid about $2.

I went hoe and put it together (missing a few small parts from 1000 parts). I love that castle and still pull it out to put it together every once in awhile. Now I actively seek LEGOs at yard sales.

I bought a mish-mash of acollection at a rummage sale. Found a few of the parts I needed to finish a SLAVE I with Boba Fett and sold it off with the Harry Potter, the Pharoh and other small sets.

I found a Spongebob Rocket Ride in a bag of a dozen dragons and other assorted toys I purchased last week for $5.

Love them !

Man, with DC and Marvel coming to Lego, I think I'm going to be absolutely broke.

I avoided Spider-man and ignored Batman. I would have bit if Lego had had the Iron man 2 license, but I dodged that bullet.

But I won't have the will to leave a Lego Hall of Justice or Shield Helicarrier on the shelf. Think of all the crazy stuff Lego Star Wars has produced in the past 15 years. And that's just one universe.

Maybe in a few years we'll see Marvel/DC Lego video games and movies. It'll be awesome.

And expensive.

One thing I won't be looking forward to is the minifig craziness the plagues SW.

I wonder when the first sets will hit? Probably not until next spring, unfortunately.
