An Atlantean throne room play set with Aquaman, Mera and either Oceamaster or Black Manta would be the coolest Lego set...ever.

Well the prices look to be on par with their original releases (at least for the tweaked sets) -which means the 21.99 sets will only be 19.99 at the other stores
Nice to see the lex set have 3 new minifigures (makes it worth picking up)--
shame that they repainted the Two Face though-- off to ebay for that one I guess.
One advantage when they start lines new-- at least some sets wont have lots of duplicates when we first start

Are any of these part of the 40% off Lego sale TRU is having this week?

hmm... don't know the answer to that one.
There is a link on the order page that directs you to "special offers and promotions" but the only one that is advertised with the item itself is the "get a free Lego Wreath or Snowman with $$$ purchase" (I forget the actual $ amount).
TRU.com does offer free shipping on orders over $50 and they DO qualify for that.

Went to TRU yesterday and saw the Batman/Catwoman set and a TON of the various Bionicles. There were spaces for the Lex/Superman and the Batwing sets, but sadly these were all sold out. For now, I just want the Lex set, although that Batcave is gonna be hard to pass up. I'm going to be more interested in the non-Batman stuff overall, though.

Ok. I don't know much about legos, (I know, bad toy nerd) but can I get the figures by themselves or do they only come in sets?

Typically in sets.
Although there is a thriving (i.e. expensive) secondary market for the figs themselves. Some of the Star Wars ones go for a lot of money, and I expect eventually the DC and Marvel ones will follow similiar trajectories.
I do know the older Batman sets go for top dollar on eBay so there is a lot of demand.

Yeah, if you want the figures you'll either have to shell out money for the sets (and then sell off the bricks), or look at eBay or some of the other Lego trade sites and then shell out money for just the figure.
Based on some of the past sets, its probably cheaper in the long run to just buy the set.
Watch for sales, especially this time of year as TRU and Lego are always offering some sort of bundle discount, %off, or giveaway with purchases.
I think that we are all hopeful that some of the DC characters (or at least some "generic superhero" type figures start getting added to the mix in the Minifigure packages that are entering Wave 6 and 7 any day now!

Actually I dont- I really want retailers to say no to blind boxed product. I have yet to pick up a single Lego Minifig at this point beacause of this....... And you would be surprised-- as far as getting the sets on ebay-- based on many of my recent sales-- you actually might be able to get the sets cheaper either piecemeal or straight on ebay..(as I do buy the sets for the minis and piece them out-- (and despite one or two recent figs going for decent money- you will probably come out ahead just buying the figures (that being said-- having legos sitting around is not a bad thing...)-- Plus those older lego sets that go for big money are unopened-- (because for some reason-- like Hallmark collectors)- its about the box and not whats on the inside..

One thing we'll need to look out for is at the lego stores they usually do 3 pack minifigure magnet sets. I passed on the Batman ones they did a while back (kicks self hard), so they may do a couple of those. I'm definitely getting the Joker, Two face, and Lex sets immediately, and might wait for the catwoman and batcave for my birthday this year.

I picked up the Lex set at TRU-- Pricey at 24.99 (shelf tag said 21.99-- didnt feel like arguing with christmas lines--)
I am trying to get a scan of the booklet posted- once I can get the copier to cooperate--it has a chart of all the figures and the sets they are inclued in..
However it looks like for now Robin is a Tim Drake repaint-- and I think Harley has a new head-(will have to compre to my figs at home...)
Also looks like Lex, Supes and Wondy are the only non Batman characters that will be released at this point.
