Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed that Bats makes up 80% of the line, but I expect that to change once we see the upcoming sets at Toyfair.

The Hall of Justice/JLA Headquarters has GOT to be somewhere in the mix.

This explains further about seeing figures indivdually- dont know how Mattel will react- but since Hasbro has the Marvel License- don't expect any individual figs anytime soon.

Star Wars Lego Planets
These Star Wars mini sets are small but offer a range of features for both causal Lego fans and collectors.

For serious fans, Lego has presumably designed these sets as a way of offering collectors a way to collect unique Star Wars mini figures in the same way that they offer special minifigs as part of their Collectible Figures series; low priced sets that can be easily obtained but don’t break any licensing laws.

As Star Wars is a heavily licensed franchise, any products the Lego company produces is restricted by licensing rights owned by other toy companies. In 2011 Hasbro filed a suit against Lego for producing a range of Magnets featuring the Star Wars figures. As the magnets could be detached from the figures, Hasbro regarded the figures as “action figures”, for which Hasbro owns (and pays millions of dollars for) the rights to produce.

Lego responded by attaching the figures to the magnets permanently, so they could no longer be removed. These new style magnets became significantly less appealing for collectors and fans. Presumably Lego then set about designing other ways to offer unique figures to fans in a low priced set.

For casual fans the Star Wars Lego Planets sets are a great way to get a Star Wars figure as well as a small vehicle and a decoration/background for a low price.

If that's all we get in 2012, I'll be VERY disappointed.

Marvel Sets

6865 Captain America Avenging Cycle

Could be good, I'll have to see it.

6866 Wolverine Chopper Showdown

PASS.

6867 Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape

If on Asgard, I'll buy it. If not, PASS.

6868 Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout

Probably a buy. Depends how much of the Helicarrier we get.

6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle

Probably a buy, 'cause I'm betting that's Iron Man's set.

Well Im going to guess that the Wolvie one is the scene from the movie with the cars and the Helicopter--

But hopefully that means well get some of Weapon X-- but they better be Comic style dammit-- if they are movies- Im not getting them...

And this is probably just the list of sets for the first half of the year-- the second wave usually comes around July. THough im sure the focus will probably be 4 or 5 more batman sets (probably and Arkham at least-- based on the minifig list)--since they will be coming out around the movie...

Plus I did some comparison-- Robin of course is all new (Tim Drake)-- Riddler is new with the Bowler, Poision Ivy has new hair and new green highlights, two face is all new colors (was black and white before) , Bane has a new paint job on the face, catwoman has new detailed deco-- like zippers and the blue eyes, harley has new deco (collar before was rounded (and I think she had white gloves), Joker has redone deco (undershirt and flower) and I think new hair, Batman looks the same however-- it looks like they used a different head (as his mouth may be longer)

Damn I thought I was going to be able to skip these sets..

One not on TRU

Hey, weren't we supposed to get something Green Lantern related?

No, I'm about 99% certain we saw a mini-fig Green Lantern at SDCC. So unless it was simply a blatant "Hey, there's a Green Lantern movie in the theaters" nod, we should be getting some kind of Lego set with a GL theme.

SDCC had 3 exclusive Lego minifigures based on the DC movies.

One for the current Batman movies.
One for the GL movie.
and one for the Superman movie.

They're kind expensive (but not outrageously so) on ebay at the moment and the packaging is a big part of that.

I would love to see some sets based on the GL mythos (as well as all the other ends of the DCU, but I don't expect we will get more than 1 or two non-Batman sets per wave.

That'll be disappointing.

I really want a "Manta Sub Battle" set with Black Manta, his sub, a couple Mantaman, Aquaman, Aqualad, a couple giant sea horses, and a few critters (sharks, rays, octopi, etc.)

That would be the best Lego of all time!

Although the Hall of Justice would be close.

Just picked up the Dynamic Duo Funhouse escape set.... and man it is pretty cool. I haven't really got it together... with a 2 year old running around, putting together legos can be pretty hard to do. I'm glad this came out before I got the Batwing vs Joker set, for the the same price I think the funhouse one is the winner. Just the minifigures alone make it cooler.

I got it at the Lego store in Bellevue Washington. That was the only set they got, they didn't even get the one that have been out other places for a while, unfortunately.

I love the LEGO Batman sets from a few years ago, but I missed out on the Bane and Harley Quinn sets. I knew that there was a new Harley in one of the new sets, but I just saw a pic of a Bane in another new set. I am so happy that I get a second chance at them now!

I finally saw some of the new sets today. The Batwing one, the Two-Face one, and the Catwoman one. The only one I didn't see was the only one I would buy on sight...The Superman/Wonder Woman/Lex Luthor and power armor one.

I absolutely love that the DC sets are comic-based. The Marvel sets are seemingly movie based. That's fine and all, but I prefer the comic versions in Lego form.

It looks like Mega Blocks has the Amazing Spider-Man license. Feh!

Green Lantern Lego? I doubt that Lego went and made a SDCC minifig only for SDCC lucky ducks. I bet there will be some GL Lego appearance, be it in a GL set of his own, or as a minifig inside some other set.
