I know this should be in the movie forum - but this new teaser for the Lego Movie looks great!

I can't decide if I like the stop motion-like animation of this one, or the more traditionally animated recent Batman lego movie. The writing seems to be really funny though.

And that's a pretty stellar cast!

We'll see. I'm not completely sold yet. I was kinda hoping for a more "pure" rendition without all the licensed character Easter eggs.

This came off as a bit too commercialized.

Unless they end up going all the way with all their present licenses like LOTR, Marvel, Pirates OTC, and of course Star Wars. That could be cool.

But I doubt we'll see that, because Disney and WB won't play nice. :|

Surprisingly, my son seems to be on the fence about this movie after seeing the trailer.

Maybe by the time it gets closer to actually being released he'll be more excited for it.

The backgrounds don't seem all that exciting to me. They just seem messy. They don't look like nicely constructed buildings. Clearly designed by the animators versus the LEGO engineers. Curious to see what sets will come out of the feature film.

I thought that when this film was originally announced, we were getting a Johnny Depp-voiced Captain Jack Sparrow in the film? I thought I had read that DC and Marvel minifigs were going to coexist in the film as well?

Here's another question: Is it a forgone conclusion that there will be Lego sets based on the Lego Movie?
