I wish Lego had the G.I. Joe license. But I've been making my own I was wondering what anyone thought of them.

Super Shaft, consider that Cobra Commander sold in a hot minute! Come to think of it, I wish Lego was the only company out there doing what it does. Personally, I don't want Mega Bloks and I don't want Kreons. Lego all the way!

I think I read somewhere long ago that Lego doesn't do military toys. I certainly don't remember any in all my years of buying them.

Probably true, the closest thing would be the cavalry troops in the 90's and the Toy Story poly bags with soldier and jeep.

Ah, yes, but the G.I. JOE cartoon had the Joes wielding laser rifles and Cobra troops parachuting between the spinning blades of F.A.N.G. Copters. And there was always that heavy sci-fi element.

While G.I. Legos seem far fetched, I don't know that Lego's anti-military stance is necessarily enough to make these verboten. Exo-Force from several years ago was essentially about a war between humans and robots. Those things were bristling with gatling guns and the like.
I think Star Wars legos in particular forced Lego to relax thier anti-aggression stance. That being said Joes ARE closer to traditial military which Lego definitly is not down with.
Anyways, great customs Super Shaft. Are you ordering out for tampos for the torsos?

The bigger issue of why we will never see these is because of the Kreons-(or the previously horrible BTR- Built to Rule line that even with the actual joe figures)-- I like hasbro a lot- but I really wish they would give up on the building toys line-- (although Id love for them to sell the mini kreons on their own.)
And although it does happen-- usually one "toy" company licensing another is a very rare thing-- Sideshow/Hasbro not included..(since one is adult collectible, one is toy)

I think Hasbro could do well with a G.I. Joe Kreo line.
