Newest theme advertised in the latest Club Lego magazine is Chima
Not much to go on just yet (the website isn't even up and running) but the picture shows a race of Lizard/Snake people fighting a race of Bear/Lion people.
Looks like a high fantasy Anthropomorphic theme and I am a bit anxious to learn more.

Any pics of the new Hobbit sets? Those I can't wait for.

Only the Goblin King showdown set.
couple of Dwarves, Gandalf, Gobling King, 2x Warriors, and a Goblin Scribe.
Looks to have a few trapdoors and mechanical elements for play value but that is the only one they show in the magazine as of right now.

The Chima sets are out and apparently exclusive to TRU at least for now)
Looks to be the successor to the Ninjago line with both building sets and play action battle sets

I can't believe they'd let Ninjago die. It was like printing money for them.
As far as Chima goes, pass. Some of the Ninjago sets tempted me (especially that multi-headed dragon), but neither of the new themes this year (Chima and that Space Invasion thing)interest me.
So as far as Lego goes, I'll be picking up any new LOTR/Hobbit sets, the Iron Man 3 sets, some of the Lego Superhero sets, and maybe a few Star Wars sets if they come out with something unique that I know Hasbro won't touch.

I just got the newest Lego catalog, it features Chima on the cover. They have a deal running right now where if you buy $75 worth of Chima sets you get an exclusive set with a Chima minifigure (a white bird-man) and a mini vehicle.

Saw them yesterday at Target. Not sure how I feel about them. The figures look good and are certainly something new. But the vehicles didn't really grab my attention. They were okay but not something I just had to have.

Maybe certain sets? I dunno bnjmnrlyr, they had a whole end cap of them. I didn't even think to take a picture - I was too busy loving the new A-wing lego set and Batman chase set.

Interesting, TRU is promoting them as an exclusive .... Well they are lying-- I saw 7 different sets at Walmart on Monday.. I may get sucked into these for the minifigs-- at least most of the excluisve large set figs are just slight repaints and I will be able to get most of the generic mini fig types with all the cheaper sets..

My two sons (ages 8 and 10) are both HUGE Ninjago fans, and are going into some kind of ritualistic mourning about the tv series and the LEGO sets passing. LEGO did announce last month that the Ninjago sets will continue into at least 2014, and there's a new 2013 wave of them hitting just about now....but yeah, Legends of Chima will have the big boost of support with a tv series and games, etc. for now. I dig the designs for the minifigures, and the animal-inspired vehicles, but something I noticed with both the Ninjago and Chima sets for 2013 is that all of the ground vehicles have treads instead of wheels. Can't stand that. Or maybe my own building style is too amateur to handle it. I'd really rather have wheels. Many of them also seem too spindly--not solid enough to stand up to the kind of play that I know my sons are going to dish out. And I saw the Chima sets at Target too--TRU may have gotten them first, they may have some sets that are exclusive, but they're not the only ones carrying Chima. Maybe they're the only ones carrying them AT THAT PRICE?

The Gator Ship looks kinda cool. Beyond that, meh. Now, if they start doing aquatic races like they did for Atlantis, that's another story.
