Sorry if there is a post on these somewhere, I couldn't find one. Anyway, does anyone have these figures? If so, what do you think?

I just saw that they existed thanks to Noisy's review here http://www.itsalltrue.net/?p=24474

They look pretty cool and I'm a big fan of the original Power Rangers. They sure are expensive though!

I had an unseemly dream about the original American Pink Ranger once.

That's about as far as my PR fandom goes.

I've never been a fan of Power Rangers at any point in my life, but I've seen so many cool pics of these 6 inch-ish scale hyper articulated ones that it makes me want to buy a few. I can't afford to add another line, so I'm just enjoying the pics right now. I've bought a few of the different yellow and pink rangers from the basic 4" line at Target/Walmart for my daughters and they have a lot of fun playing with them. Maybe I should buy a few of the yellow and pink fancy ones and pretend like they're for my daughters. There are so many different versions/options. I think these all look really cool:

S.H. Figuarts - Akiba Yellow Season Two
S.H. Figuarts - Akiba Blue Season Two
S.H. Figuarts - Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger
S.H. Figuarts - Yellow Buster & Usada Lettuce Exclusive

The Bandai displays at SDCC with a ton of these all posed cool in great display cases just looks awesome and makes me want them. Even for someone who isn't really a Power Rangers fan, they just look like awesome toys.

Well besides the pink ranger, I've never seen those others haha. They're pretty crazy looking. I only watched the show up until the first white ranger made his appearance. That's like halfway into season 2 but it's also about 78 episodes. How crazy is it that season 1 has 60 episodes? That's nuts. Anyway, I shouldn't have but I bought the red and green ones and they'll be here on Tuesday.

That's cool that you got them. I'm sure they'll be fun.

I'm barely informed at all, but the Japanese version of the show has had like 37-ish seasons, and each season has a different theme/aesthetic, and then there are variations of the characters within particular seasons. Like the season it was samurai rangers, there was regular samurai and mega samurai, and maybe more. There's just a ton of possible designs for each ranger. I don't know how many versions the Figuarts has done or is doing, but at how much these cost I'd imagine it could be hard for someone to just collect all these. :)

And the first season that hit the US was like the 16th series in Japan. Or something. Maybe someone who knows the wizzbizz can educate me. :)

Yea, I was reading up on the US show the other day and a lot of the footage in the US version is the japanese version. They just intercut a few scenes with the american actors here and there. In fact, in all of the fight scenes, the yellow ranger is a man because it was only made a woman for the US audience.

To be honest who our age didn't. She was a gymnast-- Plus her name was Kimberly-- which generally is a name for a hot girl (or cartoon)-- Space Ace Kimberly is awesome...

There is a movie showcasing some of the Pink Rangers "talents" out there- once her ranger career was over..

These articulated Rangers are pure awesomesauce. I can't believe how well the articulations are hidden and how posable they are! And they actually (finally) have the proportions of the action actors (at least more than previous figures did).

...think Mattel noticed?
