Hey, I felt this deserved its own thread, any topic relating to the Classics line keeps getting lost in the main thread...
Anyway, I have the Lion-O and Tygra on their way, psyched to get them. But has Bandai announced any further figures? And if not, when will they?

I wanted to ask this same question. Just picked up Classic Tygra at ToysRus this weekend, what a feeling of nostalgia came over me!! Definetly will pick up Classic Lion-O, but now I want the entire team to display! Can we expect more from Bandai regarding the classics line and if so, when?

If I knew that Bandai would make and release all of the Thundercats, then I might be interested. But I fear that they would pull a Matty and leave the team incomplete. And that's saying nothing about villains or supporting cast.

Ok they first off they aren't Matty (Who should change their name to Crappy), and just look at what Bandai has done for Ben 10 and all of the characters they have done for that series.
Plus they have given us in 4" the entire team and Mumm-Ra and Grune, so far with more to come before the end of the year (Don't ask me which ones as I don't know that, however I am presuming 1 is either going to be Jaga or Claudus).
As for the other 8" Classic Line they have promised more figures (Actually they more or less came out and said they want to do the entire team before the end of 2012, and after 2012 start doing other characters in the classic line up as long as these figures do well, which makes sense they don't want to sink money into something if it's going to be a bust).
AS for the 6" line I honestly don't know what is going to happen to that, however I wouldn't mind if it disappeared, or even if it got better.

I'm very excited about this line, mainly because I loved the original show and because this line will end up being fairly limited. The original Cats (I can live without the Kittens, although I wouldn't mind a 2-pack) are a lock. Mumm-ra should be a lock. Beyond that? Well, I'd be excited for the mutants and the newer trio of Cats. The Lunatacs would be pretty cool, but I don't think it'll ever happen. So all in all, I'm probably looking at less than a dozen figures. Enough to showcase my love of the Cats, but not enough to break the bank. It's a win-win.

I think that Bandai can go pretty far with the classics line... and it's def not complete unless we have the kittens!
I'm hoping they prioritize it like this...
Thundercats first, all of them, including Jaga, Lynx-o, Ben Gali, and Pumyra...
Villains next - Mumm Ra, Slithe, etc.
Then characters that never saw plastic - Lunartacs.
While it should be a finite line, why stop at 6 or so characters? Keep it going and at least release all the characters that were initially released. As for the Bandai quote that they'd release the entire team by the end of 2012, I guess that depends on your definition of the team. Mine does include the kittens and new Thundercats. Does yours?

I want Mumm-ra before the kittens or the newer trio.
Heck, I want the original three mutants before the kittens and the trio. If Lynxo is made before Mumm-ra, I'll be pretty annoyed.

I can't see Mum-Ra not being made first, wasn't he one of the main antagonist in Thundercats? Or was he the one who barely did anything? I never watched the show too much as a kid, it was always going off by the time I got home after school!

Ok for the people who aren't getting this they have said they are going to release 1 figure per month throughout 2012 (Well thats their plans at the min could be changed to Bi-Monthly).
We already have Lion'O and Tygra (Which are selling really well).
So I would like to see it go something like this:
Month 1 - Panthro Month 2 - Wily-Kit/Wily-Kat/Snarf (I think they may bring these out as a 3 Pack) Month 3 - Cheetara Month 4 - Mumm-ra the Mummy/Ma-Mutt Month 5 - Slythe Month 6 - Jagga's Spirit Month 7 - Bengali Month 8 - Lynx'O Month 9 - Pumyra Month 10 - Monkian Month 11 - Jackalman Month 12 - Vultureman
This would give us the Major players, followed the next year by these figures:
Month 1 - Mumm-ra the Everliving Month 2 - Rattar'O Month 3 - Berbill, Berbert and Berbelle (3 Pack) Month 4 - Driller Month 5 - Snowman/Snowmeow (2 Pack) Month 6 - Hachiman Month 7 - Safari Joe Month 8 - Tuska Warrior Month 9 - Grune the Destroyer Month 10 - Mongor Month 11 - Captain Shiner Month 12 - Stinger

Ever heard the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it, lol, plus you missed month 7.
like I said I want the original list, I can wait for other figures from your list.
I want Wily-Kit, Wily-Kat and Snarf - those figures are part of the main team, like it or not, there are alot of people who would buy these characters (especially if they do them well).

I'm worried about the packaging size that Bandai has chosen. While it's nice to see something that isn't packed in a box with tons of empty space it seems like it's too small as it is for some of the larger characters that we would expect to be getting.

It was one of the toy sites (not important which one), but it did come straight from Bandai and it was live Q&A session, and they where discussing what they wanted to do, they stated if everything goes according to plan they want the main team out by the end of 2012, and they also said it would be most probably a figure per month.
It also stated that there is another 4" wave to come before the end of this year, as of yet no figures would be mentioned, obviously giving themselves breathing room.
As for the speculation on what figures would be released thats just me and shell, having a Wish List.
