DC Super Hero Girls "Seeing Red"
Spoiler: show
Starfire is pretty much adorable in any continuity.

Thunder and Lightning? I remember them from DC Nation! Cool!

Did not buy Amanda Waller being able to bodyslam Gorilla Grodd. At all.

Best bit was the visual of Beast Boy fruitlessly trying to bite Supergirl's head.

Above average. ****.

And to think, we'll be getting live-action versions in the fall. It's amazing how deep DC-TV is going with character selection...

EDIT: Thinking about it some more, I'm floored by the thought that all of the regular and secondary cast except Starfire, Beast Boy and Bumblebee have already made the jump to live-action at one time or another...

new one up that actually has some real running time to it... now, if they'd only upload them in order...

DC Super Hero Girls "Spring Prison Break"
Spoiler: show
Liked the designs of Lashina and Mad Harriet, not so much Stompa.

The flashback adventure seems to take place before "Hero of the Year", which is when Big Barda reformed (I think). I don't know for sure. It's hard to keep things straight and this sure as heck isn't a continuity I obsess over. ***1/2.

DC Hero Super Girls "Around Metropolis in 60 Seconds"

Removes hat.

My, friends, today we are here to say goodbye. The death was quick, and unexpected, and like a punch in the gut. Today, we remember the four minutes of my life I will never get back. They had potential to be great minutes, and never bothered anybody. It is a tragedy they were taken from me in the way they were.

Lights a candle in my brain. 0.

Okay... did a bit of tidying up with these... all of the 2D shorts are now in the first post because I just discovered that Lego has been posting their own DCSHG shorts starting about a month back which are now in the second post. Apparently the same writer(s) and voice cast, just animated Lego Friends style... A few have been posted on the DCSHG YouTube channel but most of them are on Lego's channel for the moment. Also discovered that they've been posted DC and Marvel Super Hero shorts, too, so I need to set aside some time and make threads for those...

Look forward to seeing those LEGO DC and Marvel shorts, Jim.

DC Super Hero Girls "For Art's Sake"
Spoiler: show
Never cared for the Doubledare Twins. **.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Get Your Cape On Music Video"

Now THAT'S what I call an earworm! ****.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Body Building"
Spoiler: show
No fair! How come girls get better LEGO figures than boys? Just going by the boys toys, noses, eyebrows, and whites of the eye don't actually seem to exist. I feel a bit ripped off. ***.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Need For Speed"
Spoiler: show
"That boy has stamina." Probably needs it for how "quick" he is otherwise, if you catch my drift.

The LEGO Kryptomites are even cuter than the 2-D ones.

Loved Flash running on top of the Daily Planet globe, and causing it to spin on its axis.

Good one. ****.

DC Super Hero Girls "Trading Places"
Spoiler: show
Lena Luthor is smart. Ish.

Normally, I'd complain about Batgirl risking her secret identity as Barbara Gordon, but this is LEGO. They look identical except for the eye color.

Pretty good. ***.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Crazed And Confused"
Spoiler: show
Liked Harley and Harriet being hit on the head with a blue Kryptomite. **1/2.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Showdown"
Spoiler: show
The chick in the blue toga looks more like an Amazon than a New God to me. Who is she?

I love the idea that a closely guarded secret could possibly be the teacher's salary. Principle Skinner is millionaire after all. Good joke.

Above average. ***.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Wonder Waitress"
Spoiler: show
Wonder Woman as a waitress is either a funny idea, or a degrading one. Well, it's not actually funny, so there you go.

LEGO Krypto is cute though. **.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Galactic Wonder: Part 1"
Spoiler: show
"Greetings, Mrs. Woman." Swing and a miss for Commissioner Gordon.

Hippolyta is even more annoying here than she was on Justice League. And that's saying something. *.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Galactic Wonder: Part 2"
Spoiler: show
Super smell is probably a really terrible superpower for the reasons stated. ***.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Galactic Wonder: Part 3"
Spoiler: show
Did one of the girls actually wonder if the orange Kryptomites were high in vitamin C? Ugh! This show is SO dumb. *.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Galactic Wonder, Part 4"
Spoiler: show
"Do you know how much it cost to get that notarized?" The supervillains in this continuity value different things than other continuities. ***.

LEGO DC Super Hero Girls "Galactic Wonder, Part 5"
Spoiler: show
That was fun. For some reason I love the last shot of Eclipso being mesmerized by the Krytomites.

When Lena Luthor started fake barfing, I sympathized completely. The girls suck so much, and I'm glad we finally have a character who can point that out.

It's official: The LEGO DC Super Hero Girls shorts are better than the 2-D ones. ****1/2.

DC Super Hero Girls "Wildside, Part One"
Spoiler: show
Is it just me or does Starfire not look like an alien at all? For all we know, she could just have a Snookie spray tan.

Except for the hair on fire. Is that from the comics? Because it's cool. ***.

Wildside: Part 2 is up (love Mari's safari get-up! Need a figure of her, too... the toys are so far behind they will never catch up...)

Yep, from day one in the comics. I'm really surprised these shorts are the first time (this is the first, right?...) are the first to use that effect. I would think that every animation director would've loved the visual of the flaming hair jet stream she's always had in the comics.

Yeah, I've never seen the fire hair animated anywhere else either.

DC Super Hero Girls "Wildside, Part 2"
Spoiler: show
Beast of wrinkled adorableness? The elephant isn't the only adorable person in this cartoon.

Like Vixen too. ***1/2.
