The reason I ask is it would be nice to get a second set of monsters if this did indeed do well for them. It has crossover appeal for Marvel fans and monster fans alike. I like monsters and have always wanted some in scale with ML so I would like to see more. Who would be included in a second set?? The Living Mummy seems a no brainer, but after that I'm not sure. Wendigo? Morbius? I"m not up on my Marvel history so I apologize. I know there is a plethora of larger monsters, but what about the 5-10' range??
Did Marvel ever have a "lagoon creature" they used/created??

I only ever saw two of the boxed sets in the Tulsa area. I wasn't interested in it, but they were gone within a week.

I doubt we'll see a second box set, especially from Hasbro. Frankly the only reason I think we saw this one was because it was tied to the Walmart Exclusive wave.

That is what I was hoping for, but imagined we'd never see it b/c they never moved and went to clearance -- in my area. I got my set for $7.94 or something...even after it sat at $14.97.

I've seen them clogging the aisles as well...Wal/mart dropped them down to $10?! and lost most of their tock, but they still got another shipment in! I want another set so I can customize Hulkling & replace my busted Patriot

I asked Jesse about this over on the Fwoosh, and he said that he doubts if there'll ever be a second Monsters set. It's a pity. I love the 70's Marvel horror stuff and I was hoping for more. But I'll gladly take what we have.

Well, as you mentioned, there's the Living Mummy:

This box has actually disappeared in my area, while the Young Avengers set remains just about everywhere. I was gonna pick this up once it hit the discount bin, but oh well.

My son got the Monsters box set on clearance in his college town (he could have gotten three if not for some a-hole). See my trade thread if interested. All the figures have great paint jobs and the box has only minor shelf-wear.

I bit the silver bullet and bought one of two remainung sets at my Wal Mart. I paid $28.88 for it. I waited forever for them to go on sale but got worried that I might not ever get one.
