>>Errr...since when IN THE COMICS does Thor need a big axe?<<You'd have to read Dan Jurgens 79 issue run of Thor to get the whole story, but in a nutshell, that axe belonged to an old Silver Age Thor and Avengers villian called the Executioner (And I hope you guys can see these pics. I don't know if they're showing up or not): Big Daddy Odin died and Thor became Lord of Asgard. Thor needed the Executioner's axe to kill a menace called Desak. Like I said, it's a long story but the bottom line is, even with his hammer and the power of Odin, Thor never would have been able to stop Desak without the Executioner's Bloodaxe. Mike (So the axe is a cool accessory. It makes perfect sense with this version of Thor. And hey, maybe one of these days we'll get Executioner and Enchantress figures.)

Thanks for the explanation. I'm familiar with Executioner (he's right in front of me on my desk here), but didn't know that story.
Peace,
Chip

Ugh, I got some more questions... Is the Marvel Select Thanos a good figure, I just finished the Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity War so I'm interested in getting the Mad Titan. Also, are there any other really good figures from Marvel Select that fit in with Marvel Legends that anyone could reccomend? Like perhaps the Watcher? Thanks y'all, John

Yes, Thanos is a good figure. He's oversized because he's a Legends figure, but he fits in with the regular line because Thanos was supposed to be a BIG guy. The sculpting is very good (on mine anyway) and he comes with that nifty Infinity gauntlet hand. I also recommend the Watcher Figure.

Anyone have pics of the Watcher figure next to the Galactus BAF?
Peace,
Chip

I think Uatu is only 7" though, right? That's kinda underscaled...

Well, he's a tad taller. But still, it doesn't make much sense unless you use him with the Showdown figures.

Thanks y'all, John The only complaint on the Thanos Figure is his Eyes. they put this red paint on his face to make it look like his eyes are glowing. Instead it looks like he has a sun burn. Other then that, amazing figure.

He's pretty tall. Plus he has a little stand that makes him a little taller. I'll see if I can snap a picture with him and Galactus tomorrow.

I think I might pick up that Mephisto sometime. Ok, new question: I just got an X-23, but I'm not sure whether it's the blue or black paint scheme. Did the head/torso just remain the same for both releases?

John, I've been thinking about grabbing the most iconic versions of the main Marvel characers and I've been using this site to help me figure out what I want to get -- 'course checking prices may force some changes... http://marvellegends.net/

Yeah, I check in there sometimes for pics. Also, Michael Crawford reviews usually have good ones also.
