Me neither.
Arkillo is THE figure I want from this set. But the current design of his tongue around his neck turns me off. I'll be looking at these on the day of release to try to determine IF it is removable, and IF the figure's mouth looks like it has had the tongue ripped out. I wish they had left that piece of the story out. Maybe the creators are horror fans?

Seems like alot of people aren't too happy about these figures. Did everyone forget these are BLACKEST NIGHT figures based off the comic. They aren't making regular Mera or Tongue Arkillo Because Mera made a big impact as a Red Lantern and same with a tongue-less Arkillo. These aren't DCUC stand ins there figures from a comic book series. Be happy its 8 waves of awesome looking figures. For the DCUC people dont buy these and just wait.

They could have made Arkillo from BEFORE Mongul beat him.

I'm sure the tongue will be removable. It might be glued in place, but it's got enough dimension to it that it's obviously not part of the body sculpt (though that could change by production). Consider this, if the tongue can be removed and the mouth does look like the tongue has been ripped out you might still be able to "re-attach" the tongue...

Completely agree. They definitely couldn't be DCUC stand-ins...they look too nice.

Gotta disagree with you on at least a few of them.

Kryb looked great with Sinestro(SC costume) and Color of Fear guys.

Larfleeze and Atrocitus also look good.

Now you can't mix the nonaliens very well, I'll give you that.

I was exaggerating a bit. I just have never been overly impressed with Mattel's DCUC. I think they are a very nice mass market toy line. I just never thought they could compare with the overall sculpts & paint of DCD.

It's hard to complain about any of these figures...but I am completely bummed they used a spot on Terra...other women that should have jumped ahead of her:

I've been waiting for an Arkillo and thought he might come first in DCUC. I'm glad we got him here and he looks great. The story where he lost his tongue was awesome, if you ask me.

As for Mera, her as a Red Lantern isn't that surprising. I wouldn't worry because we're likely to see her normal self in either DCUC or the George Perez History line.

Deputy Luthor and Scarecrow look excellent too, especially Scarecrow. I'm going to try to get all four of these and Atom possibly.

I'd love to see Hal as half Blue-Half Green, and Guy as Half Green-Half Red; maybe WW as a Black Lantern being taken over by a Star Sapphire ring.

And, of course, literally a month after I ordered the DCD Arkillo, he's the CnC for the first Green Lantern DCUC wave.

Sigh.

Pre-orders can be cancelled. I cancelled mine with BBTS as soon as the DCUC Arkillo was revealed.
