For those who really collect, discuss, and debate future Dc Direct releases, where do you go for the best community? I've tried a number of sites, including DcDirect's own message boards, but I have not found a dedicated following like AFI has for the Mattel DC stuff.

Of all the places I have been, I notice much the same conversation going on.
Most complain about DCD Bat/Supe's centric releases, then praise a wave that falls outside of their domain, only to then complain about its scale, QC, etc.
Its the same conversation again and again and again.
So, if most feel the same as I do, its just easier to avoid the conversation or not participate, thus leaving a barren field for those that actually want to have an intelligent discussion.
If you find one let me know. I would love to participate. I just don't have the desire to slog through 900 trolls to get th one solid post that is worth reading.

Well said!
I've never happened upon a good place for the brand, and I can't bring myself to even read discussions on DC's board, never mind participate in them.

Personally, this is pretty much the only place I discuss them, except exchanging comments on Flickr photo pages. I pick and choose which DC Direct series I buy, though. I absolutely love the ones I have, and they're my exlusive choice for comic-style DC figures, but not all of the styles appeal to me.

Yeah, its looking like I'll be hankering for some more DCD talk, what with the meteoric DCUC price increases in my neck of the woods. And here I was thinking I would be gradually decreasing my DCD purchases as each new DCUC wave is released, but it appears that the opposite will be happening.
