It seems like I just received a Batman Black and White statue...actually, it was just a couple weeks ago that I looked at the Gotham Knight 2 version. But this week one of the classics arrived - the Bruce Timm animated Batman. I love this one, but my vision may be clouded by my love for the old BTAS show.

BTW, if you haven't been watching the new Batman: Brave and the Bold, you're missing out. It's a really fun show, and I'm betting it just gets better wtih time. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

I picked up this statue today, and I think it's great!

When I first heard that DCD was finally doing a Bruce Timm B&W I was very excited by the news, and thought that I would reserve one at the local comic shop, but when I saw the first solicits for it in the PREVIEWS catalogue I was less than impressed.
HOWEVER,
my interest was re-ignited by the photos you posted in your review Michael.
My opinion was greatly changed when I saw the statue in person at the comic shop and there wasn't a second's hesitation. MUST HAVE!

Thanks for the great job on reviewing the statue Michael (and helping me to spend some money) !

Yep, it's one of the better recent additions. Glad you like it!

Agree w/ you that the head scuplt seems a bit off. Would have gotten one if the head had been sculpted a little better.

I thought the same thing KRYPTON, but in person the head sculpt is really good looking. It realy captures the sweeping 'lines' of the animated style. I'm looking at it right now, and it really does capture Bruce Timm's feel in 3 dimensions. Photos just don't do it justice at all, imo, especially compared to seeing it in front of you.
(unless you've actually seen it in person already and still think it's lousy. )
