AFB rants about Cosbabys, Uniformz, and BLAMMOIDS when we can't have a complete line of DC Minimates. Grr!

Except Cosbabys have nothing to do whatsoever with DC direct - no more than Kubricks did... they are a seperate licensee with DC. There are also cosbabys- POTC, Disney, and I believe Aliens V. Predator- with a few more lines to follow.

The biggest problem I have with these lines is that they all seem to exist at the expense of something else instead of IN ADDITION TO.

I would think that by diversifying the offerings to include a wave or 2 of each of these lines in a given year would help to grow the customer base. Somewould come in for one specific style/line while others, like myself, would be more willing to jump into multiple styles/lines if I knew that they would get a solid commitment from DCD.

I realize that ultimately, it is sales/profit that determine wether a line will stick around but I think DCD cuts its losses a bit too quickly for the most part.

I'd collect any of those three lines before anything Minimates.

I offered this schedule proposal in the Blammoids thread

(clicky here --> http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/foru ... c&start=15
and go about half way down the topic to see what I am on about).

What do you think? Would this work for you and your buying habits?

Nothing to do with them except DC has licensed them and they're on the DCD "Coming this month page". Point is DC is still going in a zillion directions with both DCD and it's licensing instead of sticking with something and making it work.

Plus, Cobabys are fugly. :wink:

Although I agree that DC Minimates died an early death. I kind of like the Cosbaby Batman character figures.

my guess is that although there is a vocal demand for Mini Mates, the actual sales were not there to continue the line.

Me too! I wish I knew of a shop that carried that locally for a decent price. I would like both Batmans, Batgirl and Catwoman.

Maybe. And that could be because DC Direct did the line no favors with the last wave, Wave 8, and the Red Son Superman & Wonder Womans set and the '52' Batwoman & Montoya The Question set. I only bought those in hopes of keeping the line alive. All the other waves were good, even with the Battle Damaged space fillers.

I always wonder if sales were not good enough to continue the Justice line (the Ross JSA is an extension of it, not a continuation). Yet another DC Direct line ruined with questionable character selections.

At least they do import the Hot Toys product, even if it does compete against their own product.
