Too bad DCD never listened to the fans regarding their many scale sscrew-ups. I'd have been all over these (and frankly many other DCD figs) had they maintained a relatively consistent scale from the beginning.

good gravy, he's gigantic. I was hoping maybe DCD would have kept these a bit smaller to match the previous offerings...but they just don't get it. We are FINALLY getting Black Lightning, Creeper, Ocean Master...and they don't match anything. What a joke.:?

My solution is that I put my figures in small groups, not gigantic ones. It really helps with the difference in scale.

I am no doubt in the minority, but I love these. I don't care for a ton of articulation...so that was never a big deal for me. Again...I am sure most do not agree with me, but I just don't like DCUC as much as DCD. I love the artist & storyline specific waves DCD does. But hey...I buy everything from both and it's pretty awesome we have this much of a selection in terms of DC action figures.

It's hard to believe that DC Direct has been around for a decade now.

I remember a pal of mine at work giving me the scoop on the first JSA wave released back in 2000 and the two of us freaking out over it like we were kids again. :D Finally! Figures of Golden Age characters like The Flash, Green Lantern, Hourman, Dr. Fate, Dr. Mid-Nite, Wildcat, Starman, and many others.

These new Perez-based line puts the earlier designs to shame and shows how far DCD has come in terms of sculpting and articulation. I'm sure the best still lies ahead judging from what we've seen so far. :)
