I guess there's no DC Direct panel at SDCC this year. It's absent from DC's panel list.

yep...rather odd. I would have figured with the HDCU and Blackest Night product coming out, they'd want to promote it the brand. Weird.

Hope they have their usual display case up showing new stuff. There should be some new Perez figures or Blackest Night product that they might want to let fans in on, and there's no better place than SDCC for that.

Well, last year's DC Direct panel is very disappointing. They had a retrospective slideshow of their 10th anniversary, but revealed very little in new product. It was followed by Mattel's DC panel and that blew everyone away. I guess Georg Brewer and co. realized it was better to spend more time at the DC Direct display section than to waste it on a Q&A panel session.

A Q&A panel is never wasted if they actually have answers to the questions that are posed. Usually (and this holds true for all toy companies, not just DCD) the answers are watered down and coporate safe

If anyone is going can they please ask what the chances are of a Gary Frank Superman wave?

Heck I'd be happy with just the 1 figure, not even a wave!

Thanks!
