Sean Whitmore wrote: It's funny this thread should come up. Random figures from both waves have been sitting on the shelf at my LCS for ages, and I looked at them today for the first time. Had a fleeting thought of getting Metron to stick in among my Classics, then realized I didn't really want him without the Mobius Chair.
I'm still considering getting a DCD version of Barda one of these days, to replace Mattel's puny offering.
I like the DCD Big Barda, shortness & all, but I really like the Kirby Barda. I am not so sure she has the right height either, but she is just such a great representation of Kirby that I had to have her.
In fact, during Cornerstore Comics last big DCD sale, I grabbed the whole set of these very cheap; I just need to find somewhere to display them.
Just from the posts in this thread, I understand why no more of these were made -- heck, I waited to buy them cheap, but that was due to me pretty much dropping this scale of DCD figures by the time these came out -- but another round of these and New Frontier would be very nice.

I would have bought him if he had the chair.

so, is it pretty much set in stone now that there won't be a third wave? i'd love to see desaad, steppenwolf & oberon. who would be the 4th figure in that line? guardian? jimmy olsen? highfather? shiloh norman? black racer? one of the forever people? mantis? forager? himon?
i just grabbed mm & lightray today. lightray's nostrils are HUGE. but, then again, his fingers are pretty huge too, and i'd imagine flying at that speed could make you have to go digging around up there for dried out boogies from time to time. i'm passng on metron and superman.
also, as for wave 2, none of those 4 characters ever had a motherbox did they? i feel like Lightray didn't either, though.

OK, now I just found a Big Barda MOC on Ebay for $14.99, yet Toy's R Us wanted $41.99 for the same figure? WTH??
After reading this post and checking the links I discovered that Barda can now be ordered (through the link you have up to Toy's R Us) for just under 8 dollars right now. Fans of the big gal, get ta clickin'!!

I always find it amazing that certain figures NEVER get made in the group. Highfather is the New God that falls in this category. DcDirect, DCUC, WizKids HeroClix, etc. Every line skips him.

while i agree it would be awesome if they made him, he's not altogehter that interesting looking and this line already has a serious hero to villain imbalance. desaad & steppenwolf and mantis are sorely missed.

Can anyone post a pic of how Barda looks with DCUC? Especially with the old Darkseid from the old Superman waves.

Glad I was able to help. I love doing comparison shots like that. I hadn't thought of mixing the New Gods with DCUC. It almost works with Barda, if you don't look at her all that closely.

I really liked these from the get go but resisted getting sucked in. But I picked up Darkseid the other day just for the heck of it. And now I want them all. Wow, didn't see that coming. I can get both waves for 55 bucks shipped. Seems like a good deal to me!

Great size next to the regular DCUC buck body, but she's still a smidgen smaller than the DCSH Darkseid. Very happy.
