I'd actually rather have more Blackest Night figures than these. I was hoping for Black Lanterns Green Arrow and Hawk and Red Lantern Guy.
These are really nice for what they are, though. Dunno if I want them, but I've got a long time to decide.

Any idea how soon these are going to get solicited for pre-order? Don't see them on BBTS yet

Am I mistaken, or is this the first time that the Shiera Sanders-Hall version of Hawkgirl has been made into an action figure?
Shayera Hol/ Thal has had a couple of figures from DC Direct, as well as numerous figures from Mattel's JLU line and the DCUC line. Kendra Saunders has had a couple of figures from DC Direct as well, but as far as I can recall, this is the first time Shiera's been made in plastic.

These are scheduled to begin in March of 2011. I wouldn't expect to see solicits until the Sept issue of Previews or maybe Aug after the SDCC dust settles.

Early in the days of DC Direct. I think they came with 2 masks each, which were removable / interchangable to give them a Silver Age or Golden Age feel.

Mera's the definite standout. Something is off about Aquaman.
I'll probably get her and pray she looks somewhat decent with DCUC...unless DCUC beats me to the punch.

I would think we'll get one in wave 3 and the other in wave 4 (I'm an optimist, so sue me).

Definitely getting Mera, but...is it just the lighting, or does she not have knee joints? Chris1973 wrote: I sincerely hope we get a Hawk and Dove out of this line. Although I don't expect it, I'd really rather DCUC get to them first. Hawk is a great big violent meatball, he needs that poseability.

Maybe they are taking a page out of Matty's book (and truthfully anyone with any "retail psychology" experience) and trying not to give us all our "Series necessary" figures right away so that they have something to give us when the line gets renewed by Target later next year. Stay tuned for more information, we can't comment on figures that aren't announced.
(man, I really need to get out of the Mattel-All forum more ...)

Don't know if anyone else noticed this yet, but the Brightest Day Deadman comes with interhangeable heads and a Mask in hand! Totally cool DC Direct. Totally cool. Its that little touch that makes the figure go from "it's nice" to "it's essential".

Nice job DC Direct!
THAT Hawkman really makes me want a DCUC version for my modern JSA!
Add my vote that Hawk & Dove would be sweet additions in future waves.
