I'd like to see them resurrect the Silver Age Batman figures and make a Catman, Crazy Quilt and Two Face. Oh and a Jim Gordon!

I have the ultimate snarky answer to this question, I'm surprised no one else said it first though...
What I want from DCD that they will never make is...
1 CONSISTANT SCALE!
ta-da.

You win! That was the main reason I went from buying everything DCD put out to maybe a few select figures a year.

I'd love a 6" series of figures based on the Richard Donner Superman films. Both Superman and Clark Kent with Christopher Reeve's likeness, a Gene Hackman Lex Luthor, a Marlon Brando Jor-El, and of course General Zod with Non and Ursa. I don't expect Mattel will ever produce these in their Movie Masters line, and DC Direct probably won't bother either, but it's high on my wishlist of figures that will probably never get made.

ta-da. I thought about that, but honestly, it's too late for me to go back to consistently buying the 6"-7"-8" or whatever DC Direct action figure line.

I would like a "build a statue" set based on Alex Ross' painting of the "Original Seven." There could be three sets (GL & Flash, MM & Aquaman, Superman and WW) with Batman being built in three pieces (legs, torso & arms and cape & head). Also: Metal Men statues made with accurate metals. Mercury would be a trick (maybe a clear plastic container with liquid mercury, colored red, inside) and Gold and Platinum would be expensive (even if they were just plated)! Also Lead would be almost toxic and heavy! But still it would be a nice set.

I'd rather have a the rest of Kirby's 4th World pantheon, followed by a Demon Etrigan, and O.M.A.C, and most definately a Sandman.
Between Kirby and McGuinness I really don't think I will ever love an artist inspired wave more (until we get the rest of Maguire's and then Hughes' JLI)

i'd like to echo the sentiment of a lot of these people and say i am very disappointed not to have desaad, steppenwolf, granny goodness or highfather-among several others- in the kirby new gods line. jimmy olsen & oberon, guardian, mantis and forager, the list could go on, but those would've been my wave 3 & 4 choices. as much as i like the dcu classic steppenwolf & desaad figures, i keep most of my figures moc, so there's not really any good way to display the huge kirby style dcd figures next to the smaller less artist-specific differently packaged mattel figures without looking way off.
the one series of figures i have opened and display out of their packages is the DCD Alex Ross Justice figures, which are my favorite. and i know i've said it a million times, but man! they were only one wave away from having every main player in the line and they just stopped. Giganta, Atom, Riddler, and i guess really that's it, although a Robin might have been a nice way to round it out, or even Metamorpho, Elongated Man, Metallo & Clayface. Probably could've snuck Sivana in there somewhere too, if they'd tried. Ross himself even said in the notes of the DC Absolute version of Justice that he's still holding out hope for a large scale Justice Giganta, and while I'd love that figure, i, myself, have ceased to hold out hope for it. So, i guess the short answer to your question would be Alex Ross Justice waves 9 & 10.

Zauriel has always been my personal tipping point for fully buying into any DC Direct line. I have picked up a few select figures on sale, but until they make him I haven't bought a full Justice League or anything. My wallet is thankful they haven't made him yet.

I wish the soft toy range would have continued. Krypto was cute. I also hoped the JSA could have expanded beyond the Alan Scott GL.
The PVC sets were the greatest. I'm still kicking myself for selling them off a few years ago once DCD stopped production.
