Saw these posted on the front page. They look like repaints of the Justice figures with new heads. Is it just me or is there something off about Wonder Woman's face and Batman's mask? Does Superman's hair look a little too thick to you? At least Hal seems to look ok. What do you guys think?

I like how they are trying to get the "BIG GUNS" back into stores in their iconic looks to coincide with Free Comic Book Day. Unfortunately, it means that all of us long time collectors don't really have anything to look forward to in expanding out collection (unless you are a variant collector, then OH BOY LOOK AT THESE!!! ) Glad to see I'll be saving some money in May...

I was going to ask if these were the Ross Justice sculpts. Batman's boots and belt were the tell tale signs for me. I don't really care of the head sculpts, except for Hal's.
I am a sucker for the Big 7 characters (Trinity, GL, Flash, Aquaman, J'onn) so I will give them a look when the show up at my LCS, but I don't anticipate a buy here.

I was looking at adds for the DC Universe online styled statues and thought figures of them made perfect sense. If I did not have versions of these already, I'd be inclined to pick them up. As it is, kind of disappointed at the lack of Brightest Day wave 3 or JLI wave 3, either of which could have gotten me a Rocket Red figure.

Yeah, we are long overdue for a Rocket Red comics figure from DC Direct or Mattel. Hopefully one of them will make one soon.

I'm pretty shocked we didn't see a Batman Inc. Wave 1 solicited this month.

I can imagine we wont see those solicits until the book has been on the stands for a couple of issues so as not to reveal any surprises.

After being drawn back into DCD more by Blackest Night and Brightest Day stuff, I was really disappointed by this month's reveal.

I wouldn't mind if they had a box set of the seven or something.

Just picked up a set and I gotta tell you, they look sweet. The new Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman head sculpts easily best the Justice versions. So relieved that Wonder Woman did not end up looking like Lady Gaga. Green Lantern is cool, too. Not really better, but just a different, more modern interpretation of the character. The head sculpt looks different from the Blackest Night figure.

I guess part of the reason I like them so much is that I wasn't happy with most of the Justice versions. Superman looked too old, Batman looked too sad and Wonder Woman looked too...macho? I should note that the head sculpts appear to be cast in flesh colored plastic (can't be too sure since I haven't opened them yet) if that matters to any of you.

Joint Unfreezer...I gotta say...I completely disagree with you on all counts here. I am a big fan of the big 7 as well, I was very excited for this line...the pics looked GREAT!! Then I saw them in person. I went to two different shops selling them and they were all riddled with QC issues...Not to mention the head sculpts just arent very nice IMHO.
Superman - He is my favorite hero of all time...didn't buy him...he came off as toooo...generic looking...didn't pop at all like the pics Bats - Blah...head sculpt was boring and odd WW - Fugly face...looks like she got a nose job from Michael Jacksons plastic surgeon...seriously...bad GL - Actually was good - but I couldn't buy him and not buy the others...so I didn't buy any...
Joint Unfreezer - I'm glad you like them...others may as well...I just couldn't drop the money on subpar JLA figs when Brightest Day 2 and Arkham 2 waves are coming in soon...

fyi - His name is not "Joint Unfreezer". Its scottbernard. The other is just a subnick we give people which is randomly related to the number of posts someone has made.
