I have to say that I'm really surprised that DCD hasn't re-released this figure at all, or issued a new one. Last time I checked, the secondary market price on her was pretty high. Oracle is a hugely important character and there's only ever been one figure of her!

Considering that Oracle is now "dead" in the DCU and Barbara will be getting a new identity in Birds of Prey, I don't suspect we will see a new "Oracle" figure any time soon.

Maybe they could give Donna Troy the name Oracle, now that it is available.

I'm not sure DC Direct - or any toy companies - look at the secondary market.

Secondary market prices seem like a good indicator of pent up demand for a character. It's kind of weird to think that the companies themselves wouldn't look at information such as that. It would explain a lot of the often questionable decisions that are made though.

I suppose that would fall under the "market research" category.

Based on stated results from those market research reports I have seen in the past, the people they collect to do those things don't have a clue anyway so its most likely a case of the "Deaf leading the Blind"...

I think hasbro does a little bit- based on some of their rereleases across the lines.. And by little I mean more than other toy companies--
